So if anyone is curious: The Final Fantasy 16 thing isn't "it can't run on a gaming PC" because luckily even Square Enix execs are not THAT stupid. The quote was about how the PC version will not be available 6 months after the PS5 version, which was what was assumed, due to the standard 6 months exclusivity deal Sony has. The guy in charge of the game does want it on PC, but he's basically explained himself saying the PC port probably won't be ready that soon after the PS5 version comes out as they've put all their energy into developing it for that one console. I imagine it'll come to PC like other FF games have, it'll just take some time, probably a year if FF 15 is anything to go by. *shrug* I can wait cause I don't have 600 bucks to buy a PS5 (nor do I really want to). PS: Fatal Frame 4 (and 5) is on PC so um... not an exclusive. Sorry Harman. :P Then again, this is the guy who says Switch emulators don't exist.

Not only that, but Microsoft makes it very easy and cheap for devs to make games for the new Xbox consoles. For like $10 you can turn your retail Xbox Series console into a dev kit and you can officially port your games and software to it. As far as I know a Nintendo Switch dev kit coming from Nintendo directly costs around $400 or $500. Yeah, if I were a developer who wanted the most affordable option, I’m going with an Xbox Series S for $300 and then paying an extra $10 for access to dev mode rather than paying $400+ for a vastly less powerful system.

I still love Nintendo (thank God it isn’t as blind as Harman’s), so much that I wish they’d step their game up with the next console, namely better hardware and better controllers. Because if I’m being honest, the Joy-Cons, even beyond their drift, aren’t very good controllers for precise gameplay like with platformers or shooters. And if the length of Nintendo’s recent exclusives are proving to me one thing, it’s that even Nintendo themselves are struggling with the Switch’s hardware to the point where they can’t make games that take longer to 100%. That, and I’d just wish the hardware gets good enough to where they return to the 60 FPS gold standard, because it’s shocking to me how many games during the PS2/Gamecube era were 60 FPS (at least until the end of their lifespans), only for it all to be abandoned because ‘muh cinematics.’ Being blunt, I’d rather play a game that looks like shit, but runs smooth as butter, then a game that looks smooth as butter, but runs like shit.

I remember when I got Elden Ring. Had an entry level prebuilt pc with 8gb ram, ryzen 5 2600 and a gtx 1060 3gb. It still makes the switch I bought to play games with my girlfriend and my son into its little personal bedroom twink. ER would be so amazingly bad on switch. After I got a promotion I bought a laptop (because sometimes I need to travel for work and do some stuff on the run) with 16gb ram, ryzen 7 6800H and rtx 3070. It is night and day. Anything I play is just the best thing ever. It is interesting also since it uses exchangeable parts. Sure the gpu is a 3070 mobile so an upgrade, if it ever comes to that, will have to be specifically ordered from nvidia, but everything else is just standard stuff to take out and replace.

I would like to point out Out of 1.25 billion pc users how many do u think actually have specs that rival or surpass current gen?? I will give it 30% max cause most pc users play dota, csgo, wow etc which does not require high specs at all. Just because they are counting everyone doesnt mean they are playing in good specs. A fair comparision would be to check sells of 3rd party games in all platform. Eg Resident evil 2 sales comparision would be interesting.

Doesn’t change the fact that the vast majority of gamers worldwide are on pc. Maybe a good chunk of them don’t have current gen console level graphics, but that’s not the only thing that matters to pc gamers-graphics and framerate aren’t the only advantages it has

third party games sell more and make more money on PC, Playstation and Xbox not on Nintendo the proff is in the sales Nintendo fans don't buy third party games in big numbers compared to the other platforms so no third party developers should not put all focus and effort on Switch
