My grandpa used to be a cat mechanic at snowbird, somehow he ended up being able to cop an old big wooden “Gadzooks!” Sign. It’s still hanging up in my grandparents living room and I think it’s pretty awesome

Snowbird is my all time fav mountain as well. Lived in Aspen worked at Snowmass for a few years but I always come home to Snowbird. Dick Bass and crew did a wonderful job building such a wonderful family resort

Your comment about rocks at Snowbird is true. The mountain is a ton of granite. You can hit "rocks" after 100". Of course, they aren't rocks, but granite. I've skied there on and off for 35 years, and probably had 6 season passes. I hit a rock yearly every time I do there.

Glad u had a great day riding at the bird. 25 yrs of riding the bird, easily the top opening day. private resort, walk on chairs all day. . snowbird was nice enough to give the employees a ski day before opening in gad valley so peruvian gulch was the place to b first thing, pretty much untracked with a great traverse put in to make to the top of cirque which was blower first thing. wish i could met u, and showed around. have a great season

Wow that was ridiculous. I love Snowbird too... I got to ski 4 days last year at Snowbird/Alta. Such great mountains... running top to bottom laps on the Gondola... come on! Not to mention the backside. Let us know when you're coming to CA... I'm a mid-week Sugar Bowl skier!

One of the best powder ski resorts in the entire world My brother and I spent a lot of time there in the '80s I was telling you that Lucas that place is unbelievable moisture content of the snow can be anywhere from 6 and 8% on a really dry storm super powwows

Another great video! Why not Alta next? Not enough open yet? My first and only time(last March) at Snowbird the visibility was ZERO most of the day unfortunately -- I hope to get back this season for a redo. However the next day was bluebird epic at Alta.

Yes definitely snowbird is probably one of the most advanced mountains out there. I think 70% of it is advanced terrain. I would recommend something like solitude or park city to get back into it!
