Another great video! I know you said that was over a couple of days but you guys sure do stay busy. So much information in this video that I'm probably going to have to watch it a second time, just in case there's a quiz later. ( note to self: If Brian or Cole asked to borrow my trailer, first asked what they're going to put in it. Remember to ask for a cleaning deposit in case it comes back full of 💩 ) 😂😂😂

@briansonne8144 жыл бұрын
Frank we dont have a tedder to fluff it we basically wait for a 3 day 90 degree time frame with no rain and on day 3 in the morning we rake it and bale it in the evening when the humidity comes back in for the night.

Thanks guys for another great video. I really enjoy when you work the cows/calfs, would you do something about the bull operation you have? I actually heard about Sonne Farms bulls long before I saw this channel it's nice to put it all together.
@briansonne8144 жыл бұрын
I will give you a quick overview I started selling bulls in 1997 after i had bought about 60 head of bred purebred cows the previous year. When my dad found out what i was up to he questioned me on if i really thought i could sell bulls. Whether intentional or not that was all the motivation i needed. I am very competitive so just tell me i cant do something! I sell them all private treaty and have not done any advertising for over 20 years. I have been blessed with many wonderful repeat customers but can always use more!

@robculbertson55694 жыл бұрын
When you put cattle out on corn stalks, is the main reason you do that for cheap feed (shucks/stover), manure to help soil quality or for space since calves are getting good sized by then? BTW, need a slappy with a yellow happy face on it for a happy slappy. 🙂
@briansonne8144 жыл бұрын
Yes it costs close to 2 dollars a day to feed a cow so 3 or 4 months of free feed on cornstalks sometimes is our profit.

712, she reminds me of a wild jersey we had once. Had to rope her from horses, and she'd clear fences... after chasing her in the brush, of course. Nope, she wouldn't come to grain, tried a few times. If you got remotely close, she's gone. Just a fun one. Long story short, we don't have anymore 712's..they go on the greener pastures as soon as possible! 😂
