INSANE POWER DIFFERENCE! 500hp 400 Small Block Chevy powered TRANS AM COMES TO LIFE!

Ok, so this week I’ve been called on to fix 2 different carburetors that “needed tuned”
90% of the time, the biggest issue with performance cammed Small Block Chevys is improperly tuned IGNITION SYSTEMS.
Well, let’s just say I found 2 perfect examples this week, but the Trans Am was an EXTREME situation that made for an EPIC TEST DRIVE when the customer came to pick up his beloved Fully Restored “Restomod”1976 Pontiac Trans Am.

So many of these "carb" issues are classic. A lot of the younger folks haven't had the experience of tuning an engine properly at all. Good on the old man for helping the newer folks understand the issues that are the real problem.

That is a beautiful Trans Am. I painted one just like it about 25 years ago. I love the single headlight years. It is a shame it doesn't have the original 400 in it.
