Dudes! Thanks for another BTS reactions! You know when you listen to the lyric video you are missing so much as BTS are consummate performers and often dancing their hearts out while singing! Consider doing a lyric video and a live performance of a song in the same reaction video? You know that Army are down for that & we will watch your reaction to BTS no matter how long! I always feel ripped off when someone reacts to a lyric video only. The live version with Dimple & Pied Piper is fire!

It shocks me how many people don't know this story. 😊 The pied piper of hamelin is the story of a piper that was promised payment to rid the Town of the infestation of rats. The tune he plays mesmerizes the rats and he leads them to their death in a river. So when he is tricked by the townspeople and not paid for the job, he plays a different tune mesmerizing the children and making them follow him to the other side of the mountain where children are happy and live better lives. This song refers to song is such a beautiful way where the boys tease us army of how obsessed we tend to get with them, knowing that they're are "guilty pleasures" and "forbidden fruits" and how we need to be careful. They're teasing army so cleverly. The lyrics are written with reference to the story and I think it should be in f***ing literature books.

The Pied Piper is an old story about a town that was overrun with rats. They were trying to find a solution and a man told them that he could get rid of all of the rats for them and told them his fee for the service. They agreed and he played his magic flute, calling to all of the rats and leading them out of the town. Even though he kept his part of the bargain, the townspeople decided that they didn't want to pay him. He warned them that something bad would happen if they didn't pay him what he was owed, but they continued to uphold their part of the agreement. The next night, the piper played his flute again but this tie, he lured all of the children in the town out of their beds and they followed after him, never to be seen again. The townspeople regretted their actions, but it was too late. The guys are saying that their music and other content are mesmerizing and put a spell on ARMY, like the piper's flute put a spell on those children, but that ARMY needs to pay attention to their own lives instead of losing themselves totally to BTS. They need to work or go to school and not spend so much time focused on BTS. At the same time, BTS needs them and loves them and will continue to try to entice them.

So this song is based on a book. If I'm not mistaken, the Pied Pieper of Hamlin is a book by the Grimm Brothers. It goes like this: the city of Hamelin was having a rat plague, and this radom guy showed up and said he could get rid of the rats. So the citizens made a deal with him to pay him after he did the job (they were suspicious if he would be able to do it). So he played his flute and attracted the animals and drowned them in the river. After that, the citizens of Hamiling decided not to go through with the deal, so one night, the guy came into the city while everyone was in the church (I'm not sure about this part, I don't remember it properly) and attracted all of the city's children and locked them in a cave. And the city was then forever sad with no rats or children :)
