With a /startattack /stopattack macro you just gotta spam that button and it will be a considerable buff to Reckoning itself since it will grant you between 1-2 free hits instead of 0-1!

Currently, all it does is finish your current swing timer. If you don't have auto hit activated, you aren't swinging so Reckoning will be stored and instantly grant 2 hits

Great video. I noticed the lack of an extra swing if I was late into my swing time so I'd sit early to wait for it to complete (and store an extra charge with the sit stand trick.) Vs mobs like tigers with fast autos, trying to get the instant single swing every time they hit you feels optimal, to give your 2h effectively 1-1.2 attack speed. Unfortunately ravager procs seem to end reck bomb early, while also expending all charges, so you can miss up to 4 swings with it.

I'm really skeptical about it, because i remember back in the day the extra attacks stored even against casters. Pretty sure the "generated" spell batching is the reason it doesn't work as how it used to back then. But still, good video, thanks for the amazing tip !

Back in the day I used to spam the escape button ( to turn off attack ) to avoid losing reckoning procs when feared, rooted etc. On Nost I had the luxury of not having to turn off attack.

i've been toying around with reckoning for a while now. While the ability has interesting pvp potential verse a rogue, dw fury warrior or enh shaman. In terms of pve play I'm finding it better to just run Ret if I want to kill things with a two hander. The whole process is quicker and smoother, and you don't have to rely on crit rng from mobs or the hectic /sit and move trick to pull crits from a mob. Multitarget you may as well just run prot spec sword n board as you risk being overwhelmed waiting for stacks. Single target you end up spending more time tricking crits from a mob with /sit and move. So like I said, better off running Ret or Prot for farming. Reckoning while having limited but fun application in pvp you are better off running Ret or Holyshock.

I have no idea what you are asking here... Seal of Command as far as I know still has the internal CD timer so can only proc once no matter how many times you attack instantly for... the only exception to this being Rex's seal twisting video where if you bit with one SoC then swap into another SoC it refreshes the internal CD of Seal of Command for back to back SoC procs in a short space in time. At leas that is a near as I can tell what on earth is happening. But I guess we will just have to wait for Seal Twisting + reckoning video...

Should do some experiments with /sitting for guaranteed crits against you and AA manipulation, haven't played a paladin in vanilla but it might work out.

There is a way, if you use MS / spellbatching and stand up right before an attack from the opponent comes, it should be a crit but still able to proc Reckoning!

Rextroy, I have been playing around with this and the /sit macros. Have you tried comparing the /Sit/Attack/stopattack/sit macro against seperating them in to two Macros? one for /Sit and one for /Start attack? I have been trying to see if using them seperatly works better timing wise obtaining the Rek Proc.

I tested around a bit, some work better against a single mob when you can calculate the hit but still haven't found a good / garanteed one against unreliable incoming hits (think PvP or with many mobs VS you)

This is how it worked in Classic. The difference is that internet wasn't as good, and so seal-twisting, and macro-systems were not as easy to manipulate. The new UI makes it much more easy to play around with if you have good internet, where previously, it required you to have bad ping to make it work.

Why use blessing of sanctuary? Isn't it only useful with a shield? Or are you using it for damage reduction. Die she damage reduction reduce spell and melee?

This was my original planed build with sanctuary. The tooltip is just "up to" however. It sadly doesn't actually reduce as much as it states. Feels like abilities themselves are maximum reduced by 10%. Dots goes from like 150 to 144 dmg on me which is a shame... Nowadays I go with kings instead for pvp (for additional survival)

As long as you're not actively attacking then yes. Plus, fun fact, reckoning charges persist through death. If you get ganked in pvp and save up some reckoning charges you can rez up and delete somebody before they even have a chance to react.

On private servers it didn't. In pvp I would use a shield and 1h and just eat damage from a rogue for example, then heal and then switch to a big two hander and 1 -2 shot them.

/sit will still get you crit. But, by patch 1.12 (vanilla days) Bliz had already patched reckoning so that /sit crits would not proc reckoning. The /sit meme worked prior to Bliz patching the ability.

Your suppose to get critted 3x’s before a swing, i think, and it stores the reckoning. Back then there was a bug where a paladin spent hours and got critted by lord kazak and stored those reckoning. And he reck bombed it and one shotted it. Blizz immediately fixed it where it only stores 3.

​@@rextroy3 I've done several tests. I think they already fixed the "bug"(at least on Chinese server). That means when you get crit during attacking in melee range, it will still reset your swing. When you get crit during attacking out of range or not facing the target, instead of what they said "not losing stacks", you actually gain 1 stack. That's pretty good, but that's the only thing they fixed. Which means if you cancel your attack as you did in this macro, or if you get CC during trying to attack. You still lose all your stacks. And Blizzard said that's "not a bug".

Well I got A LOT of theorycrafts about PvP gear but can't really say what works yet... Not even lvl 60 ;) I have to experiment first Perhaps I could ask a friend of mine who is really into deep ret spec and gearing, he is also going for PvP but uncertain if he is gearing for PvE first mainly... Will return and comment if he got any good insight I will make lots of gear videos later when I have discovered what works and what doesn't!

As far as reckoning, this is nothing lol. My guildies in vanilla messaged blizzard to tell them reckoning was bugged, and stacks weren’t capped. Blizzard: No, everything is working as intended. They proceeded to spend few ours stacking reckoning to some stupid number. Walked up to kazzak, and bye bye raid boss in a swing.
