He's nearly losing every fight against Warlocks, and they're all either petless or PVE spec. A soul link Warlock with half a brain and 5k HP should mop the floor with him. Regardless, the Paladin is playing about as good as you can expect, and the clips are typical of what you'd run into and how you'd come out if you had a similar level of gear/skill.

I like how u change blessings, help yr alliance team mates with healing and dispelling, some nice grenades, not clicking too much. That part with undead warlock in felwood - it was too long, I would recommend u to speed up such fights. Gj wanna see more

Yo, this was epic! I roll a ret / holy pally and PvP is tough, sure. So many people telling us ret pallies that we’re not a good PvP spec. Maybe they’re right in some regards, but it’s players like you who give evidence otherwise. It always warms my heart to see an opponent /laugh as I’m bubble healing myself only to decimate them with every proc in my arsenal stacked with high strength + spell damage stats right after. Keep on recking :)

Paladins have a lot available to them in PVP, more so in tbc then classic though, i think skill curve to play a paladin is higher then people think

Paladin is, and has always been an amazing PvP class but you have to gear properly for it. "High Hitpoints", "VERY Slow 2-hander (never go faster than Ashkandi) with good top-end", an Onyxia Deathbringer Axe (one-hander) and always keep a shield in case you need it against melee.. stack +Defense from your ZG enchantments, and maybe your Ring of the Bronze Flight and if you bring those things together: It's hard not to win 1v1 against any melee class, even if they have legendaries or bring friends. Stack in engineering, and other trinkets, and it becomes hard to lose against casters you can prepare for. The most balanced PvP spec is 0/20/31 with Improved Hammer of Justice, but you can win in any spec with that level of gear. Two ZG enchants and the Signet of the Bronze Dragon Flight is actually 27+Defense (over 5 levels of defense -- ever fought a mob 5 levels higher than you?) and while it weakens the viability of Reckoning ... it's actually alarmingly powerful for both Ret, and Holy in PvP. Remember: +Defense works in PvP (You've dueling your guild's MT) and +Weapon Skill does not. Another funny thing is, you can actually make anti-fire-mage sets out of Tier 1 and Tier 2, and Anti-shadow sets by reversing those fire pieces to avoid priest fear and shadow-burn. Using just Tier 1 and Tier 2, with some basic potions and a flask and an Ashkandi you can actually stack yourself up to 7000 hitpoints which is virtually impossible for any class to handle 1v1 and you can actually rotate your cooldowns or drag a fight out until they come back up.

I have a r10 ret paladin I recently quit raiding so I could reckbomb but don’t have engineering I do alchemy and herbalism so I’m kinda gimped but don’t wanna have to farm for bombs anyways though - great video wish I could get sulfuras but don’t wanna commit for it.

From the first clip. You arent pausing auto attacks to stack charges. That's literally the advantage of the build while being kited. Great pvp sense and skill in the video. Reckoning just needs attention to pausing the swing timer any chance you get.

Alex Vialy for pve yes but the Stam, spell/heal, and all the over stats tier 2 is better for pvp. Hit also isn’t as important when he is fighting players on his lvl with 305 hit, compared to 63 bosses

Well played, some good stuff in there. Maybe try to play a bit more zoomed out? so you have a better overview. Like when landing in winterspring and the lock jumped you. Your wearing several tier bits, but using AP stuff on the ‘small’ slots/jewelry I assume?

Zergelot UK thanks for your reply again, I’m a bit torn in between T2 and Lionheart for that slot. My intent is to farm a bit and some pvp on the side. Now ending up with 2.8k mana doesnt seem interesting, but ending up with 15% crit neither :> Do you also run pve in that setup? Or AP setup? Else its hard to imagine getting your needed hit

Good video. You fight well, but almost each encounter you use bubble, lay on hands and mana pot so. You are lucky warlocks didn't use mana drain

I see what you did there...nice....what most people don't know is that Ret is op as F....and best 1v1 class with a warlock. Good that you put a lot of vs warlock fights since they are/were for me only class I had problems with..... too bad these are garbage lvl. Nice that you didn't do usual clip spam of reck bomb vs rogues, hunters, fury warrs its not hard and its been seen. As a tip, try to get Tidal charm trinket for extra/range stun, and try since it worked for me like a charm in vanilla when I was GM pala, I would 90% times fight warr/rogue and hunter with shield and slow 1h.. dmg reduction meant I wouldn't need to heal that often and dmg output was a bit weaker since I would have like 2.7- 2.8-speed wpn ( i used that shadow dmg proc axe from Onyxia...) And last but not least,, if the enemy is caster and has crap dmg pets like Barov caller or even lock pet since they do no dmg, try to sit a few times to get crited, to get charges, especially if you are being spammed feard, so when you catch up you can bomb him. All in all good job man, keep it up and remember spell resistance is a sick stat in classic. gl with getting Judgment set.
