my take on 'unclaimsies' is Fern was Capt before Jod, and when Jod became the Capt of Frigate, it went back to Fern as Capt of the Cinder. Good point about 33, with the kids he's a part of their crew, almost the guide. With Jod, he just ordered him around, and he'd be 1 in a crew of very many...so yeah he'd rather 'work' with the 4 that treat him good.

He is a Pirate! Did we cry out when Han Solo killed Greedo in cold blood or was it much more soft. Well he was not in a claw but shooting someone from under the table. I get so much flashbacks from the originals in this one. Its loving and cruel at the sane time.
