Manjuyod Sandbar, Bais, Negros Oriental, Visayas, Philippines
visit www.tourist2tow... for more information.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE VISITING MANJUYOD SANDBAR:
- Manjuyod Sandbar is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Dumaguete Airport
- CHECK tide schedule before arriving. This is very important. You can only visit during low tide.
- Hire a boat for 3,500 pesos or around $65, so if you’re on a budget go in a group.
- Like many boat trips in the Philippines, you can show up to the wharf and wait for others to groups to arrive to share a cost.
- You can also go on a tour.
- It is best to visit the Bais Tourism Office before hand to book a tour.
- If you go solo or with a group, bring your own food and drinks, there are no restaurants or public bathrooms
- You can rent the cottages for the night for 6,000 Pesos or less than $120 USD.
- It has become relatively internet famous lately because people started calling it the Maldives of The Philippines, however this is not a five-star resort.

Over the last few months, I've followed several travel vloggers' adventures in the Philippines, and I've come to this conclusion: it is a truly magical country that's filled with some of the most gorgeous, scenic sights on Earth; delicious food; a deep, rich, and unique culture; and wonderful, friendly people. Wow. How beautiful are Manjuyod Sandbar and Negros Island? Looks like heaven, man! And I love seeing the footage of the market. Looks like a really cool and interesting place to visit! And my mouth is watering looking at that amazing feast you had for lunch! But as amazing as all of that is, my favorite part of the video (and all of your videos) is the pure joy and awe and wonder you show when you travel to places like this, and watching you interact with the locals. You can't fake that! It's one of the things that makes you one of my favorite travel vloggers and KZbin personalities in general. Incredible vlog, Gareth!

Hey there, buddy. As what the earlier commenter said, you've been following these foreign..err..(foreignoys as we call them) travel vloggers for quite sometime. I, myself, have seen your positive comments about the Philippines and I could really tell that you're a genuine person with a kind heart. With that being said, why dont you come here and visit our country? Perhaps start your own vlogs. We'll definitely welcome you here and treat you as family. But I'm pretty certain that you already have your plans and timeline laid out though. Well, that's it. Have a good one, Brandon.

Strange how we Filipinos would rather be at the malls instead of enjoying our own natural wonders 😆
@guadaruiz143
@guadaruiz143 5 жыл бұрын
It is because marketing is directed towards malls and being a consumer....If we look at what people see on tv, it's all about coaxing people to go the malls and buy buy buy. These places and experiences don't have and cannot afford advertisements directed towards just enjoying our own natural wonders.

Cant wait for your Siquijor adventure. I am curious how it look like today. I was there 12 years ago before it explode to tourism. It is used to be an "organic Island Vibe". Asphalt road and wooden jeepneys make the island so unique from Dumagauete. Banana, mango, jackfruit trees and other different tropical fruits that lined up the road and you can just get it for free. Different kind of birds, butterflies in the air and rich mangroves by the sea.The only hotel during that time is the Coco Grove with only few cabanas. I hope you can post a longer video for this SIQUIJOR episode.. FYI - used to called by the Spanish as " Isla del Fuego " or island of fire because of like a burning island from the sunset view and because of its mystical witchcraft reputation.

Been here and noticed the buildings have not been well kept. You are charged to use them and nobody maintains them, this is a main down side to alot of places in the Philippines (not all). I went swimming nearby and found it to be a ghost town for fish except for the small ones that nibble on your feet. Also found dead mussel beds everywhere and would guess it is due to the disused sugar loading facility that can be seen in the background of your drone shots.
