I would say some think they're getting hit in the face or something is falling across their path. That's a natural defensive move. It's hilarious when they know they were punked. It's nice to see most enjoy the scare. It's no different than a "haunted" attraction. Live, and prop, bodies flying at you. The only missing here are the colored lights and loud music in an enclosed area.
