Hey Ollie - just wanted to thank you for yet another incredible video. The work you put in behind the scenes must be incredible; drone, Go Pro, along with the natural presentation style. Oh and great spearfishing to boot. I was in the Coromandel at Christmas for a few days and loved the place - you certainly do it justice in every way. Thanks for the content mate and I hope you are reaping the rewards.

Mate, nice one and we all miss. Does look like a bent shaft. Bet the weather has been rough lately!!
@rolandwheeler4842 Жыл бұрын
Nice job! Man that raw fish looks tasty! A hint if your shaft is not bent: I found myself consistently missing high, when I realized I was seeing too much of the gun instead of aiming or pointing along the shaft. My fix was to give the gun a final "push" towards the fish, which actually forced me to straighten the gun out in line with my vision. Give it a try!

This was a great video of a great day spearfishing! Would you be keen on providing a quick gear breakdown before you hit the water? Gun length, band ID, band length, shaft size, range as a result, how you rig your shooting line, etc. I'm a serious Spearo diving in new England and I love hearing what other divers use and are successful with. Thanks Ollie!

@BarberMorgz Жыл бұрын
Awesome content as always Ollie. I think more people should be aware of this way of living with everything going on in this world atm. Stop relying on the govt to pay/supply for their next kai etc & rather finding a way to gather their own sustainable kai. It does help a lot when the costs of everything is going through the roof, people can save more $. As long as people find the knowledge to go back to where we first started, the world would be a better place! Just my opinion

Hello Legend, At 18 minutes, when you shoot the snapper, what is floating in the water! Is that plankton? If so , Wahoooo….!!!! , that’s why the water you’re diving in is so rich… Also, as always, thank you for the adventures. Chris from the UK

You should of tried to swim to boat and skull drag it up solo diving crazy
@pacificaifyouplease85608 ай бұрын
Haha, the Mercs. My back yard. Yep the bronzies are feisty there. Not such a bad shot. You would have got it if you didn't have that reel set-up, because you can steer them with a forward shot. Let out float line till you reach the boat and haul em in from the boat. But get that line tangled around your wrist when a 200kg bronzie gets it and you might get a fright, though you seem pretty hardy. I had similar happen with a bad rearward shot on a big kingy and the float line around my wrist. Freaky getting pulled down. Remamber weighted you only have about 5 - 10 kg of boyancy vs 200kg fish pulling down. Also shooting from the surface never works for me, I always miss.
