Dunno if you know this But if you enter a moon snail shell naked Whatever shell you have set for insurance will be equipped automatically upon leaving So there’s no need to die instantly to swap shells

heads up the sharks tooth requires 45 to use so it does nothing until you reach 45 attack its just using a slot for nothing same for any like that frederick included also you dont need to die to change shell you can just hold y to drop your shell and then enter the moon snail shell to get the one you want from insurance :)

Best Umami build is Whelk++ and Phytoplankton+. Each heartkelp pod adds 3 umami... so now you can recharge easy peazy and still bring the pain from range 🙏

My best stowaway combo that's fun to use is the small battery+, sponge, and whelk+. Then use a twist top shell (my favorite is the shuttlecock), and every hit with the ability regenerates umami, has a chance to shock (since it hits so many times it almost always shocks). It's great for bosses

Thanks I’m at 32. Been using the stickers even though I had Fredrick haha. Now that I know, I’ll be using him more. Theirs a tentacle ability back at the grove that can be unlocked by mantis punch. It’s where the milk carton catwalk is, and getting to that top is easiest by teleporting to the oil drum location and walking back down the hill where you come up. Jump hook across and land where the milk carton is. The tentacle is a second attack. At level three it heals with each hit. Mostly been focused damaged but I wanna add one more stowaway point and I should be where you are. Booty trap is also fun, I need to level that up more but so much to do a seeing how you unlocked many of the items says I need to work on getting more shells. Thanks for the video

my str build is use the fork hammer and have red cup as shell then have cockle+ rustynail + and lugnut as stowaways then use drunken claw and have fun 1 shoting most enemies

Just so you know, the skedaddle skill (backstep dodge) and ebb and flow skills totally bypass fat rolls (i use this for fighting with drunken claw shell spell for absurd damage with no dodge downside)

Super jump is a fast and super fun way to travel... hold sprint, charge ATK, soon as you get forward momentum, jump. He should fly forward in air and then you can swim a bit to increase speed but also hold block when you land and you'll end up turbo rolling (if shell is rollable) Jump in and out of roll and you can pretty much fast travel around now plus reach crazy out of bound spots 👍

One of my own personal favorite combos (which isn't damage focused) is unfortunately only available in the endgame once you get the Knight's Helmet. If you wear it with three Barnacles, you will have 100 DEF, which means 100% damage mitigation - as long as you wear your shell, you will only receive direct damage from sources that deal damage through the shell, i.e. grabs or falling. If you max out your RES stat, most enemy attacks won't even be able to damage your shell, so you can travel through most areas without worrying about enemy attacks whatsoever. You can also run a Barnacle++ and a regular Barnacle, which will also give you 100 DEF, as well as freeing up a stowaway slot (in exchange for the -10 RES from the Barnacle++). You MIGHT be able to create a similar effect earlier in the game with the glass shells with very high DEF - as long as you build RES, most attacks won't be able to deal damage to your shell, but the ones that do will probably break it very quickly since those shells all have very little durability.

Man... where to begin. First up, that 3rd stowaway isn't even active because you aren't meeting the req. 2. You can switch cup to hammer, pick shell you want from insurance, walk into and out of moon snail. Switch hammer to shell. 3. Lugnut and best STR bonuses available to MAX DMG. it adds 33% to whatever is already there... then you red cup. Then everything dies. I killed Heikea in 4 shots. 4. Fruit sticker+ and Freddy are best combo. Add a molusc or whatever the add item discovery one is. Items can be sold for more plastic.

If ya pump only strength, like I did, and get three of the rusty nail+’s fully upgraded fork, and at least a plus 5 strength shell. You can get 105 strength stat. I two to three shotted most bosses aside from Camstcha. It gets pretty crazy. Edit: btw just by pumping into strength alone, and getting rusty nails and the hammer adaptation you can one shot literally the every regular enemy with a charged attack.

I've used 2 builds. A tank pet build and umami build. For an umami build, I used the sponge and the razor blade to maximize umami regeneration so I can spam Mantis punch at boss fights, and the Thimble shell to block attacks effortlessly without investing in res. It also leaves a free space to run whatever you want, so it's pretty flexible in that regard. It's also completely busted. You can just obliterate armies of small enemies with Royal Wave and you combo spearfish + mantis punch for big ones. The tank pet build is simply getting 25 vit ASAP to use fredrick and chum (and eventually the lanternfish), and then max out res, while using the Yoccult/Pill bottle for infinite life regen. Between the damage of the hammer and the pets you have a slow but sustainable build that focuses on defense without worrying about losing stability damage. It's the one I'm using for the final stretch of the game, because I got bored of destroying everything with the umami build.

Notes after further testing: There appears to be a damage difference when using small medium, or large hammers as a hammer. No difference in balance damage. Test subject had 900 health, I had 57 attack on my stats Small shell hammer 1 R1 enemy had 696/900 health Medium shell hammer 1 R1 enemey had 644/900 health Lage shell hammer 1 R1 enemy had 568/900 health I finished the game with 57 attack. Using a Shark Tooth+ and Cockle+ stowaways, smacked the final boss with a charged R1 with the drunken claw ability on the lil red cup for over 1700 damage, insane!

Size of shell dictates DMG AND SPEED of hammer ATK. It's HP are it's durability. Raise RES if you want hammers to last longer. I was using valve hammer and red cup for ages. Switch to valve to tank, red cup for big bada booms 💥 Plus valve looks like a mean as hammer 🔨

Personally the bell or the spirit shell were my choices. The defense is almost as good as the valve (fully upgraded) , let's you roll and shell roll

Yes go to the Lower Crust in New Carcinia and talk to one of the kids at Nemma's bar. One you can buy stowaways from and the other you can increase capacity. Costs 2500 all the way up to 40000. Hope that helps and hope you're doing well.

THEY LITERALLY NERFED ONE OF MY FAV STOWAWAYS TODAY! THE PUFFERFIN SPINE WAS 3*S FOR +10 Ad -2 def... SOOO GOOD! NOW IT IS 3* FOR FUCKING +5 ATK -20 DEF!!! I WAS USING IT AND LUGNUT (+33% atk for lower atkspd) + SHARKTOOTH (+30% charged atk dmg) TO TOTALLY DESTROY PEOPLE WITH MY CHARGED ATTACKS! NOW IM USING CONCHE FOR +20% HAMMER DMG W/ lug & sharktooth. This single nerf single handidly nerfed my atk from 61 at level 30 with +13 Atk, to now being level 33 with +16 atk and it is at 54. PRETTY SEVERE IMO! So the set up is i use the lil red cup for drunken claw, then i use royal wave, block an attack to buff my next attack, CHARGE ATK WITH HAMMER = 1 SHOT BOSS DMG. LITERALLY! I havent gotten to try it out now with the fucking nerf. I need that 4* sharktooth you have though!!! that would totally get me through baby!
