I always say im not the biggest buff trace fan, but everytime i have a buff trace product, its really damn good, especially since i refuse to pay secondary n wait til i get it for msrp, or a $5-10 mark up. Also, when i think about what bottles i really really want to try to find, most of them are BT products.

I just blind picked our solera bottle blend as my fav out of that and Stagg (all top quality Buffalo Trace barrel proof in the solera). Love the blend!

Need to start mixing rando shit together and score it. I find myself mixing pours lately to help get rid of bottles that are "meh" and findings ways to make them better. Have definitely found some amazing combos!

Isnt it disappointing that theres so many "meh at best" bottles now? Especially when they cost 100-250$ msrp. Its like they know that there's so many ppl w more money than sense that will pay these ridiculous fomo hype prices just to have the bottle of their shelves for their buddies to see, or post on social media that they got one n how much it cost. Its like everything is a limited edition, special release, and cost more every time a new release comes out. Really is gettin ridiculous. I was able to score a couple blantons last night, from total wine nonetheless. Even they are getting $80 now. I just got a store pick blantonsa few weeks ago from local liquor store for $65. The dude at total wine said, ya thats what we used to get for them, thats what they were last time we got them. They just went up. Just like everything else. Total wine used to be the cheapest/best prices around. The last couple months ive noticed they are starting to be more expensive than everywhere else. There's a couple bottles they sell cheaper than most places, but not many at all. Especially since everything there used to be cheaper than everywhere else. Also, their store picks are shit compared to everywhere else. Like they dont even send someone out to sample/pick the barrels. They just call and say, hey, send us a couple barrels and label them as store picks. Then the distillery/ndp's send the ones that they know arent as good as others, or even as good as their regular release barrels.

Lol also I feel your pain because I've done the same and this year smartened up put together a batch of 25 random blends but kept track of what was in them five out of the 25 came out great and I was able to recreate them in full bottle versions even gifted one. CHEERS!

Always fun to blend the ends and create a new experience but before you do maybe take out a little sample to compare future batches. Well that's what I enjoy doing hence why I don't have much open bottles that are almost empty .even though I wouldn't mind a wide selection of open bottles to just be able to select and try.but cheers mate

​@Whiskey with E my brother and i create infinity bottles by doing blinds, or when we try a bunch of dif bourbons, sometimes we wont finish a full pour, usually the first pour from the bottle, and we put them in an infinity bottle. We actually have an infinity bottle thats almost full, prob 60-70 dif bourbons in it. We tried it a few times and every time we try it, its always absolutely amazing. Havent tried it ina while. I actually took it out last night to put a little in it n asked him if he wanted to try it, but we already had quite a few pours n still had a few new bottles to try so didnt end up tryin it

Stagg is one of my unicorns. It doesn't help that I live in DFW and the last drop each store apparently only got one case. One. I have only ever seen one bottle in real life and of course it was $300.
