Okay, 5 mins ago I had zero clue there was such a thing as a Mario Superstar Baseball Community, or a league or a meta. Also I'm British so my frame of knowledge for baseball is limited to causally playing this game and Wii Sports. But now I am utterly fascinated by everything to do with this and want all knowledge of it pumped into my brain

There's a video I watched recently that is basically a documentary on this game and that was also when I first realized the game even existed, how much depth it has and the community that still exists for it. Crazy to me, I want to play it but I don't have a Gamecube lol

as someone that never knew there was such a comunity for this game, this is pretty awesome. I like the star games. I wish we had a bit of the game sound, the sound design of this game is fantastic. Its incredible how hearing the dude saying STRIKE does not get annoying, great comentary and cool allmost comeback

My ideas for a new Mario baseball game Customization of characters' appearances: Choose whether you want your characters to wear their default appearances or uniforms depending on their team. Customization of stats: Have the ability to alter characters' stats Example: Upgrade Mario's hitting but downgrade his pitching. Because let's be honest, he needs to hit home runs fairly easily. He's the main character Trophies and play-offs: Similar to the original Super Mario Strikers. Announcers: Maybe a couple of voices doing commentary on games Star swings and star pitches: Captain characters having special swings and pitches depending on how much you charge the swing of the bat or throw of the ball. Team chemistry: Having certain characters at base boosting the accuracy and power of character at bat Most importantly, don't make any characters too OP with their chemistry And also, bring back that theme from the original gamecube game.

Ik it sounds weird to say but I hit a lot of home runs with Luigi. He has a sweet swing that’s easy to time, I’m surprised no one else seems to charge him up while at bat

Are all the bobbles part of some kind of balance patch? Never played any form of competitive but I've played dozens of games against my friends growing up and the career mode twice and I don't think I've ever seen even a single bobble outside of certain star hits or really fast line drives at people, but there was like 5+ in this game on just fly balls

That texture pack is sick! Is it possible to modify the UI/graphics of the game too? I think it would be cool to have custom graphics for the team names and stuff. You could name Hellzhero's team into... Hell's Heroes, lol. Nude_Cactus's team could be the Birdo Nude Cacti or something, idk.

Yeah this is possible but you’d need to make the textures ahead of time. For the tournament streams we just don’t have the resources to make a custom texture for every player
