I was just gonna buy an Si. But when I see the hatch back, I fell in love with the trunk size. Too bad Si doesn't come in a hatch. I don't want a less power hatch sport touring. So I ended up buying a Type R. I got everything I want except the price. But what the heck, we only live once.

From an 10 gen si owner definitely think about getting the head studs done. The added boost will eventually lift the head. Just with a tune the head will lift. Personally had it happen.
@Shereika1Ай бұрын
Thanks, in your opinion is the only safe way to increase power 15-20 hp/tq via a downpipe and intake?
@Highvoltage319Ай бұрын
In my opinion if you want to keep the car a long time with added horsepower. Do The head studs first before adding performance parts including a tune. I daily drove mine. Had an intake, intercooler and a tune. Lasted 92k before the head gasket let go. Dumped all the coolant into the exhaust.
@Shereika1Ай бұрын
@@Highvoltage319 Gotcha, thanks. Used to work in performance shops/operate a dyno. In my experience the intake/exhaust modifications shouldn't affect the cylinder pressure (i.e. via increased boost) and therefore not affect the head gasket/studs unless you are running lean as a result.

Because there is a such thing as being a Fan of a particular trim level of a car. They have their own communities TYPE R community SI community even a Prelude community. @kevinsbiscuitsnjelly81933 ай бұрын
@@iManual6peedU kind of proved his point in your first half. If you're a TRUE FAN of a certain make, model and trim, then you should be a Fan of that car CLOSER to it's factory form. 'Possibly' over-pushing it's capabilities/reducing longevity (particularly that small 1.5) is the opposite of that appreciation. But your right 💯. It's his money 💰. @@iManual6peed No! Nothing wrong with 'light' mods, like a K&N drop in, SRI's, performance tires, small cosmetic add-ons or even lowering springs, fine. But If were talking 'heavy' power mods like aggressive Tunes, large Turbo's, Engine rebuild's/swaps, Intercooler's etc. then yea....your not a TRUE fan of that car IMHO lol. Cuz now you're trying to create a different animal than what you purchased. Example I’m making a track focused 86 on my channel and once I’m done with it, it won’t drive no where similar to stock due to suspension upgrades tires aero etc…. But it will perform in a way that suits my driving style.
