Hey mate awrsome video.what size jig.head you.use on your soft plastics? Thanks
@Riverboundfishing3 ай бұрын
@lukejustin9116 Cheers mate. The jighead size I use depends on what depth of water i'm fishing and how hard the river is running, but usually a 1/6 #1 or 1/8 #2 for this kind of water 👍

hey, im going to go fishing in summer, what is the rod and reel called and how much is it and should i get it?
@Riverboundfishing2 ай бұрын
@DingusDrillBillyBob Hey mate, at the 8:00 minute mark there's a good rundown of the gear i'm using. It's a Samaki Zing Gen 3 rod (6'10 1-3kg) and a Shimano Vanford 2500 reel. Last I checked the Samaki Zing Gen 3 was around $150 and the Shimano Vanford 2500 was around the $300 mark. Highly recommend it if budget allows 👍

Great vid mate never fished or been to the high country myself before... can i ask what river or where in high country this is? Thanks 👍
@Riverboundfishing3 ай бұрын
@lukejustin9116 cheers mate. Pretty much every river in the High Country holds trout. My favourite way to fish the High Country is just drive and stop at any good looking spots 👌

hey mate great vid and advice, planning a long weekend trip to go trout fishing, can you give me some info on location, wanting to got to the vic highcounty but don't know where to go as I'm from Canberra, any advice?
@Riverboundfishing3 ай бұрын
@darcybettenay_mtb Hey mate, cheers for the support. Plenty of great rivers in the High Country that hold trout. The Ovens, King, Mitta Mitta, Kiewa, Howqua, Upper and Lower Goulburn, Jamieson , Big, Buffalo, Dargo and Wonnangatta rivers all hold good populations of trout.

How did you know that big trout was stocked
@Riverboundfishing5 ай бұрын
@jacobanderson9862 Hey mate, you can usually tell be the tail. Stocked fish often don't have a full developed tailfin, tends to be a bit short and stumpy compared to the rest of their body.
