Even people in Cali think Texas is the BEST lol. I can say for myself, that we probably couldn't build the insane 33,000 sq ft of shops we are building for our youtube channel in our front yard if we lived in Cali. We didn't even need any permitting on anything other than the 3 septic systems we are installing. Not even a permit for the Garmat downdraft paint booth, which we figured would at least require an inspection, but nope, none needed lol. Must be part of the reason so many people are moving here.

@@CoyoteRanch We do real estate around the country, I was hoping that with the "exodus" out of Cali we could get Real Estate cheap, that hasn't been the case so far. The 2nd a house goes up for sale, it's sold in less than 30 days for above asking. I don't get it, prices are higher than ever. So back to Texas, though Austin is getting a little pricey now.

Just an FYI, the backfill blade can be used as a stabilizer when digging. Helps when ripping up compacted dirt and ripping out bushes.

For times like this, pull the pin on the end of the motor shaft and manually close the gate. You can move the motor out of the way so that you don’t damage it. Thats what we do. Especially since you are manually locking the gate with the chain.

The easy way to get rid of the bushes would be to get a tractor and batwing bush hog and just mow over everything or if you get a skid steer you could get a attachment for the front

I'm betting you are getting a good amount of snow right about now :P I'd double the width of the fire roads so you have a good fire break. Oh and by the way, you might see a lot of new growth around some of those plants that burned after it rains. I found out that manzanita seeds actually have to go through a fire before they'll sprout and they can actually last 100 years or more in the soil waiting for a fire. Whiteleaf manzanita would be the best to plant out there if you want to plant something (beyond normal trees) as they get to be 20 feet tall and are super draught tolerant.

Use your buddies grader once it’s running to grade through them bushes etc and widen your fire roads

DMAXRYNO find yourself a 5ft-6ft chunk of Steel I-beam and grab it with your bucket and thumb then use that to grade. That's what I use to grade with my Bobcat mini. So much better than using the blade, you can cover more ground sitting in one spot rather then having to keep moving over.
