Objects with advanced technology have been unearthed, but Archaeology does not include them in their reports because they don't fit their worldview.

Thanks for your comment! Some believe advanced technology may have been uncovered, mainstream archaeology usually focuses on evidence that fits well with current understanding of history. However, the idea of ancient civilizations with advanced tech is still debated among experts.

Not completely. The second half does start out repeating itself, but then the theories move into a different hypothesis of how civilizations may not have developed over time with evolution, but were cultivated from extraterrestrial sources.

Except we find fossils more than 2 million years old, so how do you figure that all remains of human civilization would disappear in 2 million years? That really needs to be explained much better. For example, 3.5 billion year old bacteria fossils have been found, one would expect something of human civilization would be fossilized.
@InsaneCuriosity
@InsaneCuriosity 16 күн бұрын
Fossils like bacteria can last billions of years because they're usually small and get buried quickly, which helps them fossilize. But for human-made things, it’s harder. They tend to break down, especially if exposed to the elements. Even things like buildings could wear away in just a few thousand years without constant care. So, even some traces might remain, they'd likely be deep underground or broken down.

You're not thinking about all the possibilities. We can't do the math but consider the possibilities. Maybe another technological species could've preceded us. But if so it appears that they didn't burn up the oil reserves. Maybe it was 5,10,or20. Or 100 million years ago. But they didn't burn up the oil from plants and dinosaurs. So it's possible across galaxies that it could happen but around a different star occasionally. Or two similar planets could overlap a star's habitable zone like our habitable zone. And be in different orbits like earth, and mars or venus. Or a moon could be habitable around a super earth or maybe mini Neptune. We cannot calculate the odds in different types of galaxies and the chances how some alien species might come close to eachother in each circumstantial set of variables. We could reason that any existence of aliens would likely be in different stages of evolution. And seperated by thousands of years to millions and billions of years in time. And also in space if light is the maximum speed limit for matter there's not just the time difference likelihood but the space distance seperation which equals vast travel time complications. And with so many solar systems and planets there isn't enough time to explore all of them. The energy requirements to build billions of probes and set up booster signalling for data transmissions to report discoveries might deplete a solar system of limited resources. A world like ours in a distant past might not be very interesting compared to any number of other systems in our galaxy. Modern humans space dreams are unrealistically hopeless at our stage of evolution. We have to keep busy exploring our own star system and gain knowledge which may lead to more discoveries and developments in the future. Every clue or occurrence is a datapoint that explains the functions of the only universe that all creatures are a part of. We would most likely encounter the most primitive life by odds. Complex average life would be more rare. Technological life is probably is most likely extremely rare. And likely further seperated in time and space! In rare instances though the unlikelihood of alien technologies discovering one or the other may happen. But the odds are so thin we can't zero in on how rare without a far more vast amount of data and speculation to hopefully narrow the chances of coinciding.

If there were Extraterrestrial Silurians that inhabited earth millions of years ago, could that have been the impetus of our emergence onto the terrestrial landscape due to the introduction of their DNA into the environment?
@InsaneCuriosity
@InsaneCuriosity 16 күн бұрын
The thought of extraterrestrial life possibly influencing Earth's evolution is a popular theory in science fiction, and some scientists do explore similar ideas. However, there isn’t any solid evidence right now that extraterrestrial DNA influenced life on Earth. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I don't think the theory of Silurians is that they were for a fact extraterrestrial, but that they could have evolved from reptiles. What is interesting is that a section of the human brain is reptilian, and that is the basal ganglia.

The Earth is mostly water. Who's to say the civilization lived on land. It would actually make more sense for life to have developed underwater. We've barely looked into our oceans. A civilization could have flourished using hydro energy making it impossible to see their footprint all these years later.
