I HIGHLY recommend you put clamps on the hoses. They don't hold as they should. My hose came off and blew out all the oil in seconds. $15,000 later, I have a new engine. I sent the hoses back to Insane Diesel back in December. NEVER HEARD A WORD BACK. How's that for customer service and quality of product.

Won't that affect the oil pressure? put more stress on the oil pump?

I ran across this filter element 15+ years ago on a truck we had in for service. It is a C-68 Filtakleen USA replacement cartridge. I believe Filtakleen USA has been in business for over 20 years and manufactures a few different sizes of bypass filter kits and replacement elements. That is a very good filter element and should work as described in the housing shown in the video.

Does a bypass filter help with dpf

The filter keeps the oil clean. An engine with a DPF will put more soot and junk into the oil, shortening the life of the engine. So the filter will restore engine life and extend it further. However, the DPF itself will not be affected. Learn More at InsaneDiesel.com
