This jazz arrangement of Temporal Tower is really, extraordinarily fascinating!!! Thank you for creating this! Compare to other people's covers, I think the texture of saxophone perfectly restores the vastness. To me, this 6-minute-long arrangement really unfolds a story as if it was opening a scroll. 1:31 Love the alternation between the saxophone and the keyboard! 2:06 The continuing elevation of the track composed by the keyboard adds a sense of challenging the legends! It is beautiful! 2:37 The insertion of Sky Tower flows so naturally, creates a sense of history! 3:06 I could almost hum out the latter part! 3:12 I imagined the conflicts between main characters and enemies appeared. 4:04 The sudden calm! This must be the half way point of the tower! 4:24 I visualized this part as a conversation between the main character and the partner. It is like one of them gets discouraged somehow and the other one cheered him/her up. 4:59 Following that the problems encountered were solved, two of them got on with climbing the collapsing Temporal Tower. These two parts amazed me! 5:18 The flawlessness of the collaboration between the two main characters.

There I was, minding my own business, watching Stephen & Friends 1kBWC (the episode "Power Play"), and suddenly I have to do a double take as I become aware of and have to confirm hearing Temporal Tower start to play in the background, upon which I realize it's jazz Temporal Tower. And now here I am, confirming my suspicion that only one person could be responsible for such majesty. Have my thumb, in the upward direction. Explorers was fantastic. First game to move me to tears, I'm fairly certain. I think it's Time for another playthrough. (Of Sky.)
@TekayAuron4 жыл бұрын
Afterthought: The worst and best part about this song is that you don't get to hear it after getting your butts decimated by Dialga repeatedly. This is one of my favorite dungeon themes in the game, but at the same time, having to reclimb 23 floors every time Dialga decides to use Roar of Time and OHKOs your partner would be a little excessive. Luckily, Temporal Spire is also a great song. Makes up for never being able to save enough Reviver Seeds through the whole tower, thanks to "It's a monster house!" "Porygon Z used Agility!" "Porygon Z used Agility!" "Porygon Z used Discharge!" "Metagross used Earthquake!" repeat ad nauseum.

I'm not that sure if jazz and Temporal Tower's Theme are matching to each other. I'd say this should be performed by a symphonic orchestra in form of a symphonic suite to unleash it's full power or alternatively by the Procyon DSE driver using the original samples from the game. I'm saying this because I'm really missing the strings and the choir from the original. But I've still to acknowledge that this is a good arrangement. Well done! :-D

One of the best tunes in the game, but blimey was this a hard level! Especially if your a water or fire type. Discharge and Earthquake become so dangerous all of a sudden. Monster houses appear literally every other floor if your really unlucky (hope to everything that you have a multi-target hitting move). And I love that after you reach the midpoint of the dungeon and you go into the higher floors, it's still the same music, but is so much quieter and slower, really hyping you up for the final fight at the end. Amazing cover as always!

I hadn't played this until a couple of months ago. I bit behind the curve, I know. A friend taught me how to play, and this had pretty much been the first game in the series that I had played, so I needed it. I didn't die a whole lot because of this, because my friend taught me many of the ins and outs. As a result of this, much of the trial and error, keeping my experience points despite dying, never happened for me. I progressed completely unfettered because of my knowledge and team makeup, which could counter pretty much every type thrown at me thus far without much incident. By the time I got to the segment, I was about 10 levels behind the foes I was up against, despite grinding for multiple in-game days. To top it off, the occasional psychic type move would absolutely decimate me because I got Riolu. It took me dozens of tries, but eventually I lucked comic route, and skilled my way to the top, aided by no more than two Pure Seeds. This piece, to me, represents weeks of effort for me. Trauma, and eventual success. And don't even get me started on how I beat Dialga. Motherfucker's Roar of Time would almost one shot me, even when it wasn't a crit. I had to status abuse and keep him asleep or discombobulated with seeds, then get lucky with crits and super effectives. All of my feelings from that time come across in this piece. Aaaaaaaah it's good.

Ask not for whom the bells toll. They toll for thee. Honestly loved this arrangement, though. Nice and commanding in terms of style. I couldn't get enough of the tone from that sax, dude. Awesome work as always.

This area was hell when I was younger but I replayed it not long ago and found it rather easy. I must have been really dumb back then. Great cover as always, nostalgia is strong here!

You beautiful man. This is by far one of my favorite songs of the mystery dungeon games. It felt so epic, letting on the feeling that this was it. The final struggle.

aaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA! Holy crap man this is amazing! My favorite KZbin musician uploads a jazz arrangement an already amazing song in my favorite game, and it just blows my mind how you found a way to make it better! That sliding synth part, the echoing glock, and all of the mind boggling magic you normally do with bass, piano, and sax, it was just beautiful! Amazing work as always!

Thanks a ton Trenton! So glad you liked it

I was working on some 3D projects when this song came on, and in the back of my head I recognized it. I never knew you did a PMD remix! One of my top ten favorite OSTs.

Dang that piano vst sounds great but man is it pricey. Sick cover man.
@insaneintherainmusic7 жыл бұрын
It's pretty awesome! I have been thinking about shifting to something else though; Keyscape by Spectrasonics is sounding really appealing, and there's also this Ravenscroft piano that sounds really nice. The tones you can get out of this piano are a bit limited, and there's not much control for mic placement. Also, you've gotta use an iLok which kinda sucks :/ Glad you enjoyed my arrangement!

Ah those sweet memories of countless hours of saving on those beds in the guild, listening to chatots morning speech, checking the bulletin, recruiting new members, failing the isles, searching up wonder mail, getting fucked by monster houses, getting fucking by earthquake/discharge users, getting a room filled with traps leaving you confused poisoned and warping the whole team to separate corners, trying to escort super weak Pokémon to floor 999999, getting wrecked by ghost types in walls, throwing spikes at Pokémon across the map, farming for reviver seeds, cheesing all fights with sleep/stun seeds, oh and gotta love the story moments like meeting your partner, catching drowsee, jumping through the waterfall, doing the expedition, meeting the great dusknoir, going to the future, befriending grovyle, the sad moment with grovyle and dusknoir, defeating dialga and fixing everything, the iconic moment that makes everyone cry as you leave temporal tower remembering all your moments and memories you shared with your partner as you disappear credits rolling as you're left seeing your partner in tears, coming back to life, one of my favorites : raising manaphy with the adorable good morning, fighting darkrai for post plot reasons and my all time favorite spending hours in game and on reddit trying to figure out what the hell does the legendary explorer team on the beach do!

Absolutely lovely! You really outdid yourself with this cover - it's my favourite one of yours yet! For my tastes it's got the perfect balance of staying true to the original while adding in that extra personality and flair.

This song from the game made that trek up to Primal Dialga so amazing. You totally timed this video perfect, as I am fresh off watching La La Land and into a ton of Jazz music alongside my own playing. This was perfect.

This is absolutely beautiful. It has the feeling I know and love from the original piece with the soul and energy of jazz. It blends together so well and just shows how well the piece has been treated in this cover. I would say this is perfect, but I think even that undersells this cover

Amazing job on this cover. I couldn't have asked for a better pick-me-up this morning. I'm gonna be whistling this all day. And screw those porygons. I can't find 100% solid evidence pointing to the composer(s) for this exact track, but it's a safe bet that Mr. Iiyoshi was the main hand if not the sole creator. He was the main composer for these games after all.
