I have to tell you both, still to this day when I first started my art only just 6 months ago. I always knew that anything I learned will always be shared because of you two. If it wasn't for both of you I would never attempt Resin you give me the confidence and knowledge to start. On Instagram I have people DM me questions regarding my art (alcohol inks) I always tell them I love to share my tips because "Artist Till Death" inspired me! You are and will always be my inspiration of sharing the "Love of art". In saying that I will do my first full resin piece soon, (hopefully this week) I will send you my results. I have taken pictures with my phone of a year watching your videos (screen shots) of all your tips....Your both are the Best and will continue to be the best in my book! Your work is Outstanding, unique and full of Soul! Sincerely Crystal

akercg WOW WOW!! We both thank you so much. As the saying goes...The earth without art,would be EH! So why not share what we know and learn.we both started resin without any help.we asked and got "hand to the face" most of the time. We love to share what we know and give out "pro tips" when we can. And your comments and kind words,makes this all worth it!! Thank you!!!

That is so lovely to say, it means so much that people take the time to watch and comment on our videos. We understand how frustrating it is to know what you want to create but no one will give you the tips to get you closer to your vision. We completely understand and decided that we would always give the secrets to the creations of our artwork. Its absurd that people would be so secretive with techniques, why not let everyone try to create beauty for the world? The fact that you appreciate that aspect of our channel makes it all the more rewarding for us. Thank you so much for sharing. ~ Erika.

Sweet!! A few months ago when I discovered youtube videos of acrylic pour I was mesmerized... now I'm addicted!! I don't remember which artist it was, that when someone commented that they appreciated that she shared her painting processes & tips & knowledge... she replied, "When the tide rises, it lifts all boats!!" (I may not have remembered the exact words). I love that you share!!

Hey Ginny! I felt the exact same way. When she said orange and aqua I was like "This is going to be the biggest waste of resin..." but I think that basing it in one of the colors and using the other as an accent really helped because it didn't muddy everything and it allowed me to control how much of the orange I allowed to show. Funny thing, after showing the client the test piece, she is requesting less white and more aqua.... So it's back to the drawing board lol.

Holy crap! You missed me? That's awesome. Yeah I have watched all your videos up until I got sick so now I have gone back and trying to catch up. Really enjoying them. Yes I am better. It was not the flu but I had bad bronchitis. It seemed to be getting better but then it turned into pneumonia. I was on the couch all the time. I even slept there because if I got in bed and being flat I felt like I was drowning and horrendous coughing ensued. I coughed so much and so hard I think I have a hernia from it. I will need to see a doctor &/or surgeon I guess but not until I am over this thing and the coughing stops. But trust me I am MUCH better than I was. Thanks for caring and thanks for missing me. Hugs to you and Jeff for all you do!

Linda Johnston what a wonderful comment! Thank you so much! The countertops we did were in Alabama, we fly out to Baltimore on the 10th to do those countertops. This was a wonderful treat to save for the end of the day! It is BEAUTIFUL. You guys have such a lovely working relationship and it is great for us watching - it's soothing to hear people talking nice to each other when there is so much horrible dark stuff coming at us in 'entertainment' these days. I hope your subs sky rocket asnd you get really big on here. I am so short on time but I will be here whenever I can - this is now one of my favourite channels. I have my FB links now - would you like me to send them in a message or put them here? I don't like to paste links in comments without asking. By the way - that gold! This is pouring the best I have seen anyone do it - it looks so easy here but I just can't get the hang of it! My colours are always muddy - I think I need to get some resin! G'night and thanks for sharing your know-how with us.

Hey! Thank you so much for watching and for your support. You are such an inspiring artist and I hope to grow my subs for sure. We love working together, most of the time lol. We were friends first then we evolved into a great relationship. Luckily, we are both very art minded. You are welcome to add links, I'm all about supporting other talented artists and it would be great to link up on FB! I can't get a good hold of acrylic pouring, but I am good at creating mud and greys with acrylic pours lol. I'm sure you would do well with resin pours - you have such a great eye for color. You should totally give resin a shot, you will be addicted. Also, the gold is EVERYTHING! Have a great evening!

@melodygarry9016
@melodygarry9016 6 жыл бұрын
Artist Till Death Thank you for your reply. I love the orange showing through, but was wondering if the side edges on a countertop would mostly be orange due to the colors running off, or if I’d need to enhance the edge with other colors for the base side. Thank you for sharing your time and talents!

It was raw gold. We sprayed it into a cup and then laid it directly onto the piece. It wasn't mixed with resin. You can mix it with resin and it will look amazing (refer to the seafoam video) but it gives a veining effect rather than the lacing effect.

If you are not adding any silicone, why do you get cells when both the blue and the white are acrylic? Was the base color (the orange) acylic too, or does that matter if it was already dry before you started? Joyce Ann

I have watched and watched this over again and again. I just tried doing what you did, but did not get any cells. Is the secret the heat gun or could I get the same effect from using an airbrush or hair blower to move it around.
@ArtistTillDeath
@ArtistTillDeath 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching. You have to have the heat, it won’t work the same with just an airbrush. The reason why it works is because when you heat up the resin, it thins it out and allows the resin to flow over each other more easily. After you heat it, you can use a blow dryer or airbrush to move the resin. A blow dryer doesn’t heat up the resin as effectively as a torch or heat gun. Please let me know if you have any other questions, we are here to help. You can also send us photos or videos to our email and we can directly address what will help our artwork. Thank you so much! I have a really powerful heat gun 1500 watt (375C to 540C) that I have used but am a bit nervous about using. Will have to look for one that is more for crafts I think?
@ArtistTillDeath
@ArtistTillDeath 6 жыл бұрын
Linda Muir i can’t remember what the watts are for the yellow one we use. It was like $25 USD from Home Depot. The cheapest one, I can’t imagine it gets as hot as yours. Try yours out but on the lowest setting and not let it stay on the resin for more than a couple of seconds, it will boil and scorch the resin if it is over it too long. just test it.

Hey Robi, we have a difficult time with that at times. Kujo doesn't shed that much but we do have rogue hairs all over the studio. Basically we built a "setting shelf" for our drying resin pieces. We took a fat shelf and wrapped a tarp all the way around it. If you send me an email, I will send you photos of the rig we created (not the most beautiful, but it works). I can also include it in the next video we do. Our email is www.artisttilldeath.com
