I got the permanent vinyl from dollar tree, I tried to use it for acrylic painting on a canvas board but it won't stick very well, if I use it on wood do know if it is gonna stick to it good enough.

My friends with Cricuts report fair to middling success with running the DT vinyl through the machines. I don’t have a Cricut so I use it for general crafting and it works well for what I do. I’m going to be covering some notebook fronts and clipboards next.

Tip: for back of pan hanger. I add some hot glue and packing tape, then add some heat. It literally melts everything together to stay on good. Lovely diys.

I suggest you hold onto any large pieces you remove from the back of the vinyl and use that under vinyl project to keep the vinyl from sticking to craft paper you use to cover your work area.

⚠️⚠️⚠️Can I make a suggestion of a tool to try out? On Amazon Look for a deburring tool. I think it might help on the edges to remove the extra vinyl instead of over scratching the vinyl on the top with the sanding block. I think for your crafts you would find it helpful. Dollar Tree Sells Vinyl!?!!!! whaaaaa???!!😲 I feel so defeated!😭 I only have dollar general and family dollar near me and it seems like the Dollar TREE is where its at to get super cool stuff!!?!! they have so many diff ones that i seen u show and they look sooo pretty AND affordable! Removing the price sticker with a weeding tool was pretty boujie! 😂😂😂. ….you redeemed yourself, though, when you made the teal and white wood round. …even though you did waste a TTTOOONNN of vinyl with that one. You should have cut that side off before peeling the backing that way you could have reused it for little stuff.

My problem with these type of outlets is that everything is "Made in China" Not a regime I want to support. The Corona virus, forced organ harvesting...death. Discrimination against so many ethnic groups and forced indoctorination, the atrocities against Tibetans... The list of horrors is endless. Crafting is awesome, my own has made me more inventive. Ho! I personally do not use the DT vinyl on my cutting machine. It's very thin. Maybe try changing the cutting pressure to light?
