In that specific scenario 5up's logic is still sound; koji was worried 5up was a killer and DD was covering for him as a lover (in that scenario of him being a regular killer, 5up would have died to lovers), and if 5up was Plaguebearer he would not have been Pestilence by Round 2, so he would not have been able to kill Ovilee.
