*HOW YOU LIKE THAT* is about coming back from a dark place stronger than before. There are many Greek references in the video, A few examples are: Lisa starts in the temple with a winged statue, which represents Nike, Goddess of Victory. Spiders are a Greek symbol as well, Jennie (spinning umbrellas) sings while the dancers "crawl" over her, then Jisoo (sitting in front of the burning umbrellas) sits in a spiderlike chair. Rosé (silver hair), in the beginning, is portraying Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation (plants, flowers) and the daughter of Zeus. One day while she was out gathering flowers, Hades, God of the Underworld, abducted her and dragged her down to the Underworld where she was forced to become his wife. The video shows her in her beautiful image, surrounded by flowers, as well as how she became, dirty and grey, staring up at the world through a hole in the Underworld. She was eventually allowed to return to the surface for part of the year, which is why we have Spring and Summer. The Trojan Horses at the end are a message from BLACKPINK to the world. They symbolize the fact that BLACKPINK, like the Greeks, will emerge and take over the global music world. If you look at the last scene you will notice that on the inside of the dome it looks like there's an organic growth over parts of the ceiling. It's actually a map of the world that the group is going to dominate.

Btw, i'm Metalhead,, I used to be honest, I really hate KPOP, you must know I mean, for them (the so-called Boyband (I really don't like the spoiled concept because it's so disgusting) and for the Girlband (They have the Cute concept and it makes me want to throw up), but after I met Girlgroup from BP in 2018, I wonder why the song 'Ddudu-ddu' is trending, then when I checked it turned out that this girl group (with the name Blackpink) was very different, which I found the average cute concept. They were in another LEVEL. They have the concept of a BLACK side and a PINK side like the name BLACKPINK. BLACK is like BADAS, SAVAGE, SEXY, SWAG, and CONFIDENCE. It is not the groups that have the conflicts, it is their fandoms that have conflicts. In fact, they are often being seen supporting each other while watching each other performances. As for their fandoms, BLINK for BLACKPINK, ARMY for BTS, have some serious rivalries going on mainly because BLACKPINK is the biggest K-Pop female group while BTS is the biggest K-Pop male group. Also, it doesn’t help that BTS and BLACKPINK are the only 2 K-Pop groups that got publicly praised by their South Korean president, Moon Jaein, for their global success. So yeah, with these 2 groups being this big, it would be normal for their fandoms to have rivalries. Please, react to BLACKPINK You Never Know. It is one of their recent slower melodic song. There is no music video for this song, but there are color coded videos on KZbin that show the English lyric with audio song track and who did what parts of the song. 🙏😎

Unfortunately, dislikes and hate comments are standard in K-Pop as there are only three main companies that produce all of the content (BTS has it's own company but it is not part of the "BIG 3"). Fandoms are fiercely loyal and competitive, and toxic fans are usually the most vocal. I used to blame it on the fact that the majority of the fans are younger, but I've seen some pretty nasty sh*t spewed by people in their twenties and thirties. Also, the larger the fandom, the larger the toxic base. As an example, BLACKPINK and BTS are known to have the highest K-Pop view counts in the first 24 hours on KZbin. BLACKPINK broke the record with HOW YOU LIKE THAT with 86.3 Million views (BTS' "BUTTER" later broke the record). For BLACKPINK's last two video releases, thousands of BTS fans organized publicly online to sabotage the first 24 hours of views. They figured out that if you post the same EXACT comment over and over it throws off the KZbin algorithm. KZbin sees multiple comments, assumes they were posted by bots and deletes legitimate views. Millions of legitimate views were deleted. Yes, it's that bad. Both groups are incredibly talented, both deserve love, but when a fandom tries to ruin your group's video debut it's hard to let it go.

My favorite interpretation of this video is by a British priest's sister. This video reminds her of the Greek theater/literature. The black wings hanging maybe represents the Greek goddess Nike or the Furies (female gods of vengeance). Greek literatures have links between weddings, death & bridges to Hades. So, Rose in a wedding dress lying in a coffin of flowers being lowered down = Persephone being taken by Hades to Hell to be his wife... an agreement was made that she can return to earth once a year for 6 months = bringing spring & summer with her. Hence the changes of seasons in the video = summer, spring, winter... Jenny in red with black clad dancers with nylon nettings (looks spidery) and Jisoo sitting on what looks like a white spider bone chair... A lot of BlackPink's songs/videos have stories, hidden messages. You just have to really look at it to find it. As for me, I just watch reaction videos to 'find' it. =)

WHats really important when hearing these songs is this. BLACKPINK appeal to the masses with the catchy beats, their flashy outfits and insane beauty. If you are a surface person who just enjoys the musical aspect...you are more than covered. What is ALWAYS present in their songs is a very deep backstory. Every single shot has double and triple meanings. You may think its just about their haters, but beneath that is their need to appear tough all the well dealing with isolation and pain. This song has SO much depth to it. Watch a deep dive explanation video here on KZbin. How You Like That isn't even close to being their best song, it's just a song that appeals to the western world more and appeals to a wider audience. But I think even a person who prefers to listen to music with deep and profound lyrics will occasionally just want to put on something catchy and not have to think too much about it. For me, I've been classically trained in a couple musical instrument since I was like 4, so personally, the way a song sounds melodically is more important to me than the lyrics, it's just what my ear has been trained to listen for. My preferred genre of music to listen to are usually ones that don't have any lyrics or have very little lyrics, like classical, modern classical or soundtracks from films. I even once seriously considered a career in film music. So lyrics aren't actually that important to me, the way the melody sounds will affect me way more than the lyrics will. That's why I can listen to songs from all different kinds of languages without even looking up what the lyrics mean. I don't need to understand what they are saying, I'm usually looking for how it sounds and how the sounds make me feel.

Most Kpop groups (Idol Groups) tend to target the preteen demographic, as they are willing to cash out more vs High-teens ability but reluctance to cash out (bills and stuff, parents not paying, don't live at home), despite that they have secured a huge market share, even outside their core demographic. second, and not to scare you of (am a dude myself), Blackpink embodies a "GirlCrush" vibe, tending to appeal more to a female fandom (in Korea at least) that vs the "Cute" vibe that appeals more to men (in Korea at least), this results in a very diverse fanbase both in gender and age... It is something in Kpop we only see once or maybe twice a generation (kpop is measured in generations). and half of my comment cut of by YT, anyways good advice, get to know Bp then branch out, what I did :)

Their company facing many problems in 2019 so its also impact to BP they were criticized, hate with no reason and k- media not give them a room but when they comeback they are very successful that so how you like that is not about love story but it talk about k- media and BP. After they are in bottom then they fly higher and now they ready for the world that you can see in last scene which is Trojan War which in finally Aeschylus could win. Same like BP which they can come back with bigger impact after hard time. In 2020 BP is very successful and they reject all invitations from Korean awards show which are organized by k- media not even sent thank you video for their big awards but they accept other invitations from international awards show and send thank you video event for a small event.
