I have witnessed faster ripening using insect frass. Top dressed.. Premix.. Or in teas. It's a great amendment to help with nutrient uptake in the soil.

There are different types of "insect frass", depending upon the insect being used to harvest the material from. The most common insect frass available in the USA market until recently was cricket frass. This material can be problematic, because the crickets can and do lay eggs in the material, so you may get a bunch of crickets with it. (not very desirable). More recently, Black Soldier Fly frass has become available, which is a far superior product for a number of reasons which I won't go into great detail here, but it is important to note that BSF do NOT lay eggs in the frass material (which is the material that the grubs were feeding on. BSF go elsewhere to lay their eggs AFTER they have reached the final stage of growth AS A GRUB. The largest producer of BSF frass is Enterra Feed just outside Vancouver, BC. The material is also OMRI and CDFA registered with guaranteed 3-1-3 analysis as Enterra Natural Fertilizer. If you get BSF frass in the USA, it will 99.9% likely come from Enterra, but there are a few companies that private label the product. Enterra Natural Fertilizer (BSF Frass) is available in the USA via OASCO (in bulk tote quantities for larger commercial farming operations), Urban Garden Farms, and Concentrates, Inc (consumer retail size quantities), among some other smaller online resellers who may private label the product with other branding.

Insect control is something we all could use.. never heard someone say, "Gimmee some extra insects with that!"
