One minor change i did was swap out Kuragata a for Shiny Black "C" Squadder, who's a 2k beatstick. Just makes dealing damage a little easier if you're limited on insects on the board, though it is slightly worse for Gokipole's destruction effect. All in all, awesome list you have here, and a really fun use of a card I normally just use to get into Number 77: The Seven Sins from 2 level tens.
@cognitivegrub0 Жыл бұрын
I thought about adding an even lower atk normal insect especially for the Gokipole destroy effect, which did come up occasionally. But for some reason, I have seen this card in my hand more often than any other 😅. So a Squadder would have been more useful. Great addition, thanks!
@soulofkyanite8112 Жыл бұрын
Another addition I made was adding Gadarla, the Mystery Dust Kaiju. It's a rare, and it's level seven meaning you can summon it off of Parasite Paranoid by using it on your own monsters before using them as material. And a single Beetrooper Armor Horn helps a lot, with being able to use Dragonbite plus Resonance insect to get out Mother Spider from the deck, though that is an SR. I might actually end up making this into a proper deck for fighting friends with lol, it's super fun the more I play it.
@cognitivegrub0 Жыл бұрын
@@soulofkyanite8112 I would definitely add Gadarla for normal ranked. For this event there aren't many strong monsters being summoned. It is mostly a going second event and when forced first people often tend to not summon anything (making Gadarla a hard brick). Yeah, this deck has some layers once you've put in some effort (and resources). Think it could get you some wins on normal ranked too, especially with the additions you've just mentioned. Although, Arise-Heart is expected to arrive soon, which will put a dent into its gameplan.

Great deck dude really fun. Do you have another deck or more advanced version of this? I presume there is a way to enhance this?
@cognitivegrub0 Жыл бұрын
The 'advanced' part comes mostly from hand traps (Ash, Imperm, Maxx C, etc.), some additional consistency (likely some Beetroopers and maybe a Pot card) and an enhanced extra deck (again Beetroopers, but also Apollousa and Accesscode). I personally do not have a list for it though. I rarely play insect decks.

@@cognitivegrub0 thanks dude, I appreciate the response. I’m a beginner and like playing off meta things in whatever game I play, don’t know why so went with insect lol, I played your exact deck and the combos are awesome, just trying to find a way to buff up the extra deck
@cognitivegrub0 Жыл бұрын
@@oleary525 Beetrooper Armor Horn, Seraphim Papillion and (to a lesser degree) Inzektor Picofalena are great Insect extra deck extenders. Combine this with staple hand traps and perhaps a finisher of 1 or 2 (Giant Beetrooper Invincible Atlas - when locked into Insects - only go for Atlas when you plan to go for insects!, Accesscode Talker is the best generic one) and maybe a nice control card in the form of Apollousa (also pretty generic) and it is already somewhat better. I do have to tell you that insects currently aren't on top of the ladder. I always advise newer players to go for Labrynth as it is meta relevant, relatively easy to grasp the basics of and most cards are coming from just 1 selection pack. But the most important thing is to have fun playing! Good luck on your journey!

Whats the win rate on this like against meta decks
@cognitivegrub0Ай бұрын
It is hardly played because especially meta hand traps will severely hinder this deck too. I have no actual stats, but it won't be over 40% win rate versus meta (likely lower), which is fine for a deck that doesn't run any meta cards. If you'd include meta hand traps the winrate goes up but I still wouldn't see it go over 40%. As a reference, Swordsoul (which is a better deck) only had a 45% winrate last 2 weeks. This deck's gimmick is that it is very cheap and can win games, just not that many in a row.

Yeah, pretty much Numeron. With some extra steps, as you do need to perform some calculations to get the most damage possible instead of blindly ramming your cards into your opponent 😅

Absolutely love the deck! Also, I have some feedback (btw i should mention that i am just a beginner at the game, so maybe this is all nonsense): I'm seeing an xyz monster in the extra that requires level 5 LIGHT insect monsters, but no way of making those (the ones from spider splitter are dark). Perhaps you would like to replace it with a budget friendly geonator transverser. This one allows you to weaponize the beetrooper scout buggy in a very funny way: giving one to your opponent makes him unable to special summon, except insects (which most people don't play). To prevent the opponent from attacking into your geonator transverser you can then link summon with it and the monster you got from your opponent into a shinobi insect that your already playing in the extra deck. since the transverser let's you choose the location of the scout buggy you can place it so that an arrow of the shinobi points at it. now just put all your other monsters in defence position and you're done. This way, if you can't summon your boss monster turn 1, you get a better chance to try again next turn. Additionally, if you want to spend the sr points it may be worth it to get a beetrooper armor horn. here is a funky line with it that just requires some insects on the field: 1: link summon armor horn 2: use it's ability to let you normal summon. use this to summon mother spider splitter, tributing armor horn 3: link summon geonator, pointing at an opponents monster 4: activate splitter, do your usual. make sure to leave the geonator zone empty 5: special armor horn from gy to the zone geonator points to 6: big attack. If the opponent would survive, leave him with the monster geonator points to 7: activate geonator, leaving you with a huge board and the opponent unable to special summon before getting rid of armor horn keep in mind though, that the effect of guard mantis, which also prevents us from special summoning non-insects, does not switch sides if we give it to the opponent another possible target for geonator could be guardragon pisty, which we can summon using a single level 4 or lower dragon. iron dragon tiamaton is relatively easy to special summon without any dragon support cards and doubles as a handtrap in some cases. The budget friendly way of making geonator more reliable is to add one gadarla: an insect type kaiju - and only a rare. this gives some good interaction and can be searched via resonance insect. Then, if the opponents monster is in the wrong zone for geonator, just delete of his monsters and summon your kaiju in the correct zone, only to steal it back right away. a less budget friendly alternative is to add garden rose maiden (sr) and black garder (also sr) and some level 1 normal insect. with the gokipole we can then special the level 1 insect and use dragonbite to summon garden rose maiden. she can then get the black garden. if we now link summon the geonator we can just give the opponent a token. alternatively, praying mantis can also get us a level 1. apart from these, giant ball game can also be a way to exchange a huge bossmonster from the opponent for a scout buggy. and if we don't have that combo ready we can always just use it to special summon an insect from the graveyard the turn we play it. giant ballpark + 3 normals can be a good way to get some extra attackers if we stop our own attack damage, or just get more fodder for link summons. it also works as a defensive option. if we go the black garden way this can also summon our level 1 insect from the deck if we do this, we can also add super armored robot armed black iron "c", which can special summon itself if we have 3 insects with the same name in the graveyard and works well as a means of cleaning up the opponents board if we go for either black garden or giant ballpark we can also consider earthbound immortal uru, which can be special summoned off of parasite paranoid. if we put it in the zone shinobi points to we can have a lot of fun while our opponents figures out why he can't attack. we can also use it to steal monsters and then use those in link summons number 77: the seven sins would also work pretty well here. it can be summoned on top of either your ravenous tarantula or your pain gainer and is very hard to remove for a lot of decks. and if the opponent doesn't it's ability is often game winning. also, if you go into number 77 you can use the baby spider in grave to remove the ravenous tarantula from its material and immediatly bring it back retaliating "c" also functions as a bit of a handtrap and povides us with some value if it is sent to the graveyard - for example for a link summon maxx "c" (sadly a ur) is also an insect, which makes it searchable using some of our effects. it also works as a meatshield with shinobi, summoning it from the graveyard and we can banish it to summon armor horn from the graveyard.

All very valid options to make the deck more reliable when going on regular ladder. However, do keep in mind this deck was just during the King of the Island event, heavily limited the card pool (pretty sure Rocks were not allowed, so no Nib, no Transverser). Furthermore, due to it being an event that you wanted to farm quickly, it is as cheap as possible, hence the exclusion of cards like Maxx "C". Pretty much a must have when playing this game for any deck. Other than that, I fully agree with everything you've said and encourage people to read your comment for when they want to tailor this deck for regular ladder. One quick remark, the Digital Bug Corebage can be summoned, even though there are no 2 level 5 insects in my deck. As its text states: "You can also Xyz Summon this card by detaching 2 Xyz Materials from a Rank 3 or 4 Insect-Type Xyz Monster you control,..." - so we could summong Giga-Brilliant with 2 level 3's and then overlay Corebage on top of it for a defense position monsters bounce. Thanks for your contribution m8! It is much appreciated!

I think there are plenty of videos on YT alone, just not mine. But with a new account, I'd suggest pinpointing your first deck you want to build and plan ahead. Do the errands (tutorial and such). Perhaps open the Imperm and Ash 750gem deals. If you like the Pendulum, Blackwing or Salamangreat structure, go for it as they are a nice base going on ladder (and when understood, can win you games, but they tend to not be the easiest of decks). However, I am not sure what other content creators tell you to do. In my opinion it is always great to get multiple people's opinion, multiple points of view, before coming up with my own plan. Good luck on your journey!

Is there any combo guide for this deck ???
@cognitivegrub0 Жыл бұрын
Not that I am aware of, but the combo is relatively simple. Special summon Mother Spider Splitter (either by her own effect or by a level 4 + Insect Imitation). Tribute Mother Spider with her own effect to summon 3 Baby Spiders. Use one of the Baby Spiders to increase the 2 of them to level 10. Exceed summon the Tarantula. Use the Baby Spider in grave to bring back a monster from the GY by paying half your LP. Summon monsters (if you still can) that all get boosted by the Tarantula.

It's a cheap deck, not a F2P deck. Let this be very clear, as the YGO community prefers to deceive rather than do what is honorable. It's easier to create headline clickbait than to bring real text.
@cognitivegrub0 Жыл бұрын
What would you consider to be a F2P deck? Only the loaners?
@R1D2MP Жыл бұрын
@@cognitivegrub0 I consider the term literal, not something invented by a hypocritical community, who create and believe that their own illusions are justifiable to determine veracity.
@cognitivegrub0 Жыл бұрын
Literal, as in spending money? Because I haven spend a single dime whilst making this deck on my second account that I've used to only create my Spyral deck (using up all my SR and UR dust in the process). Furthermore, with the copious amounts of gems Konami throws at you when just finishing the tutorial, you can probably start building the deck you want plus craft this one on the side with all the excess crafting materials you've got, within half an hour after your first log in this. However, if you are considering that time = money, then nothing in life is free, making this discussion about as expensive as crafting this deck.
@R1D2MP Жыл бұрын
@@cognitivegrub0 It is not possible to have a healthy debate with those who have already become infected with hypocrisy. Your first paragraph is literally what I'm talking about. The gaming community feels that "I don't use real money, so it's free to play." Honey, microtransactions are not JUST about money! It involves time x cost, something that children have been taught since elementary school. Cheap deck and F2P deck are not the same thing, however, the gaming community insists on mixing the two terms, just to justify their expenses, using real money and/or using digital currency. (If you haven't understood this far, then I'm sorry, as there is no way to continue the debate.) "If you are considering that time = money, then nothing in life is free", if you really believe that everything is free, then I am sorry to show you this "reality check", but NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE! Nor his own (future) death, as his descendants will have to pay for the cost of his death.
@cognitivegrub0 Жыл бұрын
@@R1D2MP I have asked you for your definition of 'F2P', but judging from your "NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE", I must take that in your frame of reference 'Free' does not exist ergo every person mentioning 'free' somewhere is a hypocrit. I perfectly understand how life works and I agree with you that everything in life has a cost, it being literal by trading valueables (i.e. money nowadays) for services or other valueables, or more vague (time), and everything in between. However, in this case we are having a discussion on the semantics and frame of reference of the word 'free'. Well, discussion... I am asking you questions, explaining the reasoning one might have (with you taking that as my point of view, which is understandable), trying to deduce your thought process, whilst you are making blank statements without any disregard for others involved. This discussion/debate can therefore never be healthy, and I am not the one to blame here. Now, since you are not the sole being determining what 'free' means to an individual, one could consider a product (i.e. this deck) that takes 30 minutes of effort (which some may even percieve as a joyful occassion) to collect, 'free'. Meaning that my statement, for that someone, is correct. Others may consider 'not spending money', 'free'. As you've pointed out yourself, the community has invented this term or this use for 'F2P'. So in their frame of reference it is 'free'. How you and I perceive that is not important to that one person, or to that community. On a similar note, we can discuss the semantics of the word 'cheap', which again is established on an individual basis by someones frame of reference and for an outsider looking in can be paradoxal. It can be perceived by someone as 'cheap' or 'expensive', giving truth to both for the given situation. As soon as there is a value proposition, the frame of reference of the one perceiving the situation may differ from others, which does not automatically make the statement incorrect (and thus hypocritical). Lastly, I do agree that on KZbin (and in the YGO space) the term 'free´ is flung around everywhere (making it in my opinion meaningless) and where a little clickbait will actually generate revenue for content creators (for some even being their livelihood - not for me though), and so does this chat (the algorythm loves lengthy responses). Either way, whether you and I agree with this or not, it is participating or die. Which is actually quite a nice simile to our real life. Before I forget, enjoy life mate! It is too short for spreading negativity around everywhere (despite how correct your statements may be). Let's make it a little joyful for ourselves and the people around us! Much love!
