I missed the height of the invasion as well, but the remains are evident in my yard. Great stuff and congratulations on the new place.

Hi Nicole. I live in the UK where we do not have cicadas or chipmunks. You are so lucky to have chipmunks in your garden and to live next to a forest. I hope you are very happy in your new home. It looks as if you have made a great choice.

You might be interested in the channel, Look Closer. No cicadas here. Had not heard of the invasion. I did hear about some hot weather. apparently, Canada is challenging for Australia's high temperature records. Glad to see you again.

Lots of local UK TV channels have referred to the cicada eruption but these are the best images I have seen in all the coverage. Congratulations Nicole! Good to see you back!

Since I moved into my house I've had Cicadas every summer...so I figured this year would be crazy. NOPE hardly any Cicadas and I was suffering a from a bad case of poison Ivy during all this time and added mosquito bites made it worse. So I didn't get out at Dawn to look for them. I will not take my brood for granted any more. I plan to take advantage next year to do some photographing. But in the mean time I have lots of Osprey who use my property for eating so they don't give away their location of their nests. My cats love the falling fish remains too. I love your chipmunks. Glad to have you back!

It's good to see you again. Looks like the move went well and I'm sure you'll enjoy your new home. I had fun photographing our local cicadas a couple summers ago when there were tons of them emerging. My daughter couldn't understand why I was interested in them. This is the girl who loves all animals but apparently not cicadas. I think the buzz they make is an iconic summer sound. Your time lapses were really good! Way to go on being persistent with them. Be careful with the chipmunks. They can get aggressive and they can bite. That's one reason it's illegal to feed wildlife in the national parks.

Thanks so much Melani! Yeah I can see how feeding them in National Parks is problematic. But Chippie from under my porch is alright I think :) Building little houses for him is so much fun.

We missed it all here in Iowa. Was really hoping we'd have some excitement here but nada. Congrats on the new place. I lived in Washington, D.C. for six years but it was on Bolling Air Force base. Always loved cherry blossom blooms.

Thanks to your advice I just entered the photographer's professional realm; as I sold a squirrel video competing with 21,000 other's on POND5 BTW, isn't a chipmunk a type of squirrel ?
@NicoleGlass
@NicoleGlass 3 жыл бұрын
Wow, nice! If your squirrel beat all those other squirrels that's quite impressive :) And yes - chipmunks are in the squirrel family. But they live underground.

Hi! Wonderful video! I have a question concerning uploading video footage and stock photography on multiple platforms for sale..can you upload the same photos and videos on multiple platforms like shutterstock and pond 5 or do they restrict that? I’m gearing up to start creating footage and photography for sale and don’t know much about this..Thank you!! Have a great weekend!
@NicoleGlass
@NicoleGlass 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes you can! Pond5 gives you the option of being exclusive or non-exclusive with them so just make sure you're non-exclusive.
