Not boring! You do you. Personally I am trying to see how you’ve mounted things. Good shots in this video, but could use some controlled close ups. Don’t rush. You’re doing good work. Keep it up.

No ants? I'm surprised. Any chance you can do a video on sifting leaf litter? I am hoping to find some Strumigenys species this year and I've read that's the best way to find them.

Hi I like you’re videos .Do you use moth balls to prevent museum beetles from eating all your dried bugs you have to do this regularly to stop your collection turning to dust.shadow boxes are easy to do this. Just wondered if you new all this, I’ve been collecting butterflies and beetles for30years on and off thanks again Bridget from Tasmania Australia
@InsectHunter4 жыл бұрын
Yes using moth balls is the best way to keep them out, but the smell is an issue for my wife or coworkers.

I like your channel. I never thought I would be glued to my phone watching a channel about bugs. It would be great if you would get a better close up lense to do a really cool close up on all of your bugs on a turn table like they show off jewelry on the jewelry shopping channels. The current camera or zoom lense you are using doesn't do a justice especially if people are watching your videos on their phones. Good lighting is also essential for these close up details that would help your channel a bunch not saying that you don't have good lighting already.👍😁

Hi. I like your videos . Great insect collection. You called the large moth a Luna Moth but it looks like a Cecropia moth. A google image search seems to confirm this. Do Luna moths exhibit sexual dimorphism to this degree?. I can not find any images of Luna Moths looking like this. Just wanted to know.
@adamprescott27664 жыл бұрын
It looks more like a promethia moth than a cecropia moth to me. But you are right, its not a luna moth.

Awesome channel, man! I started collecting this year prior to the pandemic. Anyways, how in the world do you collect them moths without damaging them?
@InsectHunter4 жыл бұрын
It is a challenge for sure. I put them in large jars like a huge pickle jar filled with paper towels and then freeze them or use ethyl acetate to euthanize them.

In 1st grade my friend Nathan saw a grub on the ground it was just this fat ugly worm lookin thing, but he hit it with a stick and it the thing went flying and we couldn't find it and I've been afraid of bugs ever since because I was afraid it was on me without me knowing. Lmao
