So here is my script pitch; I promise I won't sue: Lawrence and Issa should occasionally run into each other and try their hand at being friends who may have drinks; etc. casual happen stance events, a sort of start over or either a true build on the friendship..hopefully that will lead to either them getting back together or them really realizing how different they are and that serve as the real root of why they would and were never really working out. Among that can Ms. Issa please get a better job in teaching or something; I mean what kind of degree does she hold and can she apply it better; sooo Ms. Tiffany can be shut down wit her look at Issaaaaaaa ain't got nothing going on self? Molly needs to learn that Alejandro has been lying to her and that Candice and him DO NOT actually have an open relationship..Ha ha! & when she gets it she also can't run back to "Lil Rel's" character because she distance herself from him. paige ryan sometimes what we want is not what we need. Maybe they'll get back together one day as they still love each other, maybe they won't and they'll both end up with someone else. That's the interest of season 3 (and hopefully season 10!!). For now Issa needs to focus on herself first and commits herself to being who she is supposed to be. Man I love Insecure. Melissa Diamond to me it really has turned into an affair because of them sleeping together repeatedly. Setting up dates and what not. The longevity of it.Regardless to the fact they know each other, which I do agree with the bond they previously had, they are basically in a weekend relationship. I thought an open marriage was more about casual sex outside of your marriage, where Candice and dro just let each other know. However, Molly and dro have deepened their bond not only because of their initial experience but everything thereafter coupled with the fact that they've always been friends and had an attraction.

I honestly liked the placement of the music in this season. It was so on point. The talk Issa and Lawrence had, leading on to the marriage scene in episode 8 was my favorite. Especially the music placement of Daniel Ceasers x Blessed made me cry so much lol

It takes an outside force to penetrate their wall and get them to move... I feel subconsciously this was Issas way of screaming for attention.... satisfying that neglected part of herself....and what spoke volumes to me throughout the season is the fact that Lawrence hid within himself in the relationship with Issa. When he finally came out of his shell, he was faced with more brutal women, who called him out on his bullshit in the moment, every single time. I'm not one of those people that want it to be an hour-long show. I think with a change in time, you change the dynamics. 30-40 minutes is the sweet spot. Splitting up the episode was a great way to conclude the season, and tie everything up for all the characters. It was genius. Thank you Issa for bringing us some good television.

"Hella Proud" I watched the movie... show *LOL* both seasons on and off. First, since I wanted to support a young black show. Then I associated with so many beliefs of the characters. It is great that you show the various sides of relationships that people have gone through and some things that we have not. The show is really honest with that and I have to applaud your shows efforts in taking on the challenge of relationships today. Example: The deal with you two talking it out is what I've done with a long relationship. I took her out to the Kahiki restaurant, talked over what we did that was positive in the relationship, things that went wrong, and laughed about it on the way out. And having your character be the one to initialize the conversation showed that your character knows that Lawrence's character is a bit passive and started to talk first. But thanks again for your shows view through the eyes of your character and much success to you and the cast in the future. Namaste . G.

I think it's more of Issa's decision to not have more than 8 . I found this episode so powerful for so many reasons. The apartment scene was powerful. I honestly felt like them reuniting at the place where it ended was moving. They left those memories there so they could move forwarded. It almost felt like a rebirth of their friendship. The last 15 seconds were a little shocking but....I think Issa going to live with Daniel let's us know that Issa and Daniel are still friends. We got so caught up in them fucking and actually forgot they are friends. Molly and Dro....Open relationship are reserved for a one night stands not love affairs.

Lawerence isn't right for Issa and vice versa. They are culturally different, you can see it in the way they communicated. His coworker is more of his type, she gets his dry humor, nerdy witty statements and finds it funny. As someone who was in a similar situation as Molly...at some point you have to realize there's NO POINT to creating a self destructive situation for yourself. The fantasy of being with someone who you've had years (even over a decade) of a relationship with becomes obsolete when they're with someone else because you realize they aren't EVER going to be with you in the way that matters. It doesn't make a difference after a certain point how much you wish it could have worked out or if you two will always be each other's 'what if/one that got away' at some point you just have to accept the reality of your life choices. He's decided to love someone else MORE than he apparently loved Molly. No matter how much he says he cares for her the fact remains he cares for someone else more. He decided to marry that someone else and there's nothing he can say or do (short of divorce) that would make what he says add up to what he's doing. And at the end of the day he really doesn't care about either woman too much because he's fully aware of where Molly is at with the situation and instead of leaving her alone he continues to try to plant himself in her life. That's the height of not loving someone. When you're not good for them but you're not willing to let them go on and find someone who IS good for them. It's selfish! People are complex and flawed and often times women want to make the 'other woman' the bad person in the situation but when you really stop and think about it Your Man is the one who's decided to cheat on you. He's the one who decided to break a commitment and whether or not the woman stays who was the initial issue doesn't change the fact that you will forever question him from that point forward. It's because deep down inside you know it's not about the other woman or man for that matter as women cheat too! It's about the brokenness of the relationship you're in and that brokenness will still be there long after the affair has ended. It doesn't excuse Molly either because Dro could be lying or maybe he's not. Men lie in most cases about not being with someone when they start a relationship on the side and by the time the other woman figures it out she's emotionally attached and it's hard to let go. But like I said, at a point you just realize HE'S the one reaping all the benefits of the situation and you're just being used (even if you tell yourself you're in control) that control is regulated to a piece of a person who isn't really yours. That's always going to be in the back of your mind no matter WHAT you tell yourself. Then it just gets old and redundant and stupid and after a certain age and point you realize you quite LITERALLY don't want to waste your time on any of those things anymore. Life is just too short!

I think the season was great!! I feel as though Lawrence and Issa should take time to learn themselves right now and just be single. I also want Issa to have more good days than bad days next season. She went through a lot of loss in season 2. I think we need to learn more information about Tiffany and Derrick's relationship. Yes, they're the only solid couple, but we all know "perfect couples" have problems too, so why not bring some things to light. Daniel is what's familiar to Issa. So many women (and men) tend to go back to what's familiar to them, so I don't think Issa made a bad decision in the end. Molly on the other hand is going to get her heart broken in the process because she can't separate being Dro's friend from his side chick. We seen this in the dinner scene when she attempted to sit next to Dro while his lady was there.

I really like the idea of Issa and Daniel! Similar to Aparnas' role in Lawrences life, Daniel is the only character to keep Isaa in her truth. Daniel was VERY triffling for pursuing her while she was in a relationship. He was a mess for that sex scene. But in all honesty I still feel he's been brutally honest about every stage he's at with her. He wasn't faking when angry, he expressed his hurt, and persued her when he felt he had a window/opportunity to be heard because he wanted her. This is more 'assertion' than she is used to. And he wasn't 'squeaky clean' about his approach but he was always honest. He was still a friend for her when she needed one (car accident) and doesn't push her... He allows her to explore if she's like 'nigga bye 👋!' . I know Issa and Lawrence love each other but they both need reality checks, hence Aparna and Daniel 🤷🤷🤷🤷 *fight me*

I'm so Team Daniel right now. I'm glad Lawrence and Issa talked things out but I really wanna see where things go with Issa and Daniel because I know he really cares about her. I think they could potentially be together. I could see them getting closer then she messes up and sleeps w Lawrence. Talk about tables turning! Can't wait for next season tho.

In the finale, i thought things were progressing with Molly but she ends up right where she started. Still fucking Dro(still not telling Issa, also not telling her therapist), back at her therapist & not fully indulging what shes going through and still not getting the respect she deserves from the bosses at her job. I was hoping she would quit right there instead of accepting a stupid award.
