I drove almost about 4 hours in one of the states in the North, there was no any presence of security post. Imagine if kidnapping has happened they will go unchallenged.

🪖🎖️🇳🇬 🔫For people questioning my first comment, see original ROOTS of Nigeria's INSECURITY problem listed below: 1️⃣Northern military officers, Emirs, Elders sponsored ALL successful coups in Nigeria since 1966, used army to hold power up North craftily till 1999 2️⃣Nigerian Army was originally Hausa Constabulary WAFF in year 1865 and till today 70% of soldiers are Northerners 3️⃣South (Awo & Zik) proposed national border security 1980 but rejected by North (Shagari & Emirs) 4️⃣Boko Haram was originally partly armed, used as election thugs by Borno politicians after 1999 before BH & ISWAP turned against their political masters 5️⃣Based on Sheik Gumi roles & Bandit leaders public claims, its widely believed that during Jonathan presidency 2014 Northern Elders invited thousands of heavily armed Bandits from Mali, Nigér, Chad to use against FGN incase GEJ loses election but refuses to handover. Now Bandits refuse to leave North after Buhari won election 2015 *️⃣*️⃣So why should only Southern presidents Tinubu or Peter Obi answer for insecurity created by Northern Elders? Why can't Arewa North leaders answer for their actions first?

I disagree with this your comment mr Mike, am not sure you understand how the military works and what the commander in chief of the armed forces means, in a country like Nigeria where security is the sole responsibility of the federal govt, where orders to handle small security issues in state and local govt most come from above.

None of you under @MikeAfrik-Iq9nk comment has answered his question convincingly. Being in denial will not help us, neither will excusing mediocrity do us any good. The truth remains that since 1966 till date, the north has essentially controlled the Nigerian military forces, it is an irony then that the north is froth with brutal insecurities facilitated by religious ideologies and greed and outright mediocrity. Why see facts right before your eyes and decide to play the ostrich? It's even more helpful to keep mute than trying to shush those pointing out ills.
