I think you might be misjudging the effect of the Beacon. The only downside to it is that it makes HP regen per second 20% less effective during battle, because overall battle speed resolves 20% faster, and 40% less effective when walking, because of less overall travel time. If your relying more on Vampirism, Beacons are great, it just a game speed boost. Hopefully my longwinded explanation doesnt make it MORE confusing lol

Yeah, I mean, if you're AND the enemies are attacking faster, it's pretty much the same fight, only... Faster. Guess it only bothers regen per sec builds (which can be good builds).

​@@orohyuno There are some really good benefits of being attacked faster plus they are way stronger if there is more than one enemy.

It also penalizes the Warrior class in particular, because the warrior gains 2% damage for every second of the fight.

@@Solusphere true, but fights dont tend to last long anyway, generally 4-10 seconds on a good run, max buff being about 20%, which would be anywhere from 5-20ish damage boost, and only for the last few hits. I havent found it worth strategising around. Just a small bonus for the boss fight.

Chris! i dont know about the final version you are playing, but in the demo you could evacuate at any point from the run. you keep more than on death but not much. i "completed" the demo in 3 hours on first attempt. i basically never used evasion. i went full on with vampirism and reg per sec. i try to place all my spawners in one half of the loop so that my guy has that lane for regenerating. i use 3 adjacent tiles for groves and spiders and place lanterns so that the units per tile max is 3 or else you take too much dmg. oh and the vampire building is the first one i discarded. you cant outtank or outheal the dmg you take because of the vampire aura. believe it or not, the battlefield was discarded soon after. while the tressure chest that spawns each loop is nice, ghosts and mimics and blood clots suck too much HP from you for the small gain. For the same reason i embraced the blood grove. a buffer to all groves on the lane in a 1 tile radius. if an enemy on a grove tile drops below a certain %HP its instakilled, makes it quite faster to pass through and the ent that spawns randomly gives good loot and is compareable to a skeleton in danger. i love the lighthouse and this is why. every time you pass through a placed tile you get a resource: graveyard gives stone, grove gives wood, fields give food. spawns are linked to the day meter so you want to travel fast. the faster you complete a loop the more resources you get and the less creatures are on the loop. the more loops you get, the better the gear gets. While the buff to attackspeed sounds bad on paper, i never noticed a difference. because all attack faster, the only thing that does is speed up the fights and that means you clear faster and that means you travel even more fastr through the loop. you see the pattern?

I'm loving this let's play. I bought the game and I can't wait to obsess at every piece of loot. (I noticed you ignored a couple of the equipment drops and it kinda killed me a little, especially the higher level shield.)

Road lantern effects stack. I find this useful for when I set up an area with a ton of smaller mobs just to get the boss to spawn but don't care about their loot. :)

You get 60% if you run early instead of dying. You don't have to worry about turning off auto run, because it gives you a dialogue choice first.

Generally speaking, you have to place one and then wait for the other one to appear and place it so there is one square between them in any direction, even better is to wait for the third one and then place it in such a way that one other tile can "touch" all three. And you shouldn't place tiles near treasuries often in order not to break other treasury's placement

man... you schould have kept all that regen. this early at least, regen is benefiting you WAY more than vamp. all this 30% vamp just gave you 5 HP per hit IF you hit. had you kept vall that regen gear, you would have had 4 HP/s no matter what. would have been way better.
