J-10C is a potent aircraft which is no doubt. Amateurs can say whatever they want but the fact still remains that the fighter is nimble, agile, acrobatic and cost efficient. On the contrary the weapons and the radar is yet to be proven but going by the numbers in which the Chinese airforce has procured I think it fairs well and is on par with its Western 4th generation counterparts. But my question and concern for the PAF from an Indian standpoint is the Quality of after sales service provided by the Chinese. They're known for notoriously abandoning the sold products. Also, with the current Shahbaz Sharif government leaning towards the West, I am only getting a bad feeling. But I hope PAF gets what it deserves

Secondly, it's an iteration of Lavi 10 which was indeed designed by Israel from F-16. Even for an argument sake lets assume that you're right that it's inferior to the Western counterparts, India only has 36 Rafales and Taiwan has another 150+ Vipers. CHINA has close to 800 J-10 aircrafts. Their number alone is enough to overwhelm the opponents

F16(F110)and J10(ws10), J10 is not even in the same class as lavi. physical size is much larger. the larger the airframe is, the more difficult to design and produce. saying J10 is related to lavi. is like saying typhoon is copy of gripen. at least get some basic knowledge before speaking.

Im a test pilot working in Lockheed for a decade. Believe me or not i had a chance to fly j10c Chinese copied and pak begged jet which was amazing to fly. Its a super stealthy and locked f22 many times in a mock drill. Only concern is its under belly air intake which is a shit.

I am test pilot working for Boeing , NASA , Dassault aviation, mikoyan , Sukhoi and Mitsubishi i have flown f22 f35 and sr71 but I love how Pakistan made j10 and jf17 block 5 are far better than any f16 or Rafael or su30 , it flies well and top speed is like mach 3.5, i had reduce throttle and apply reverse thrust to keep it at mach 1.8 otherwise it just wants to go to mach 4 and very super stealthy than f15 or f22

The one thing that this Ukraine/Russia conflict has shown, it's the pilot that matters as much as the aircraft. Ukraine did a pretty good job with SU-27s. And their ground forces are easily shooting down Russia's airforce. It's changed my perception on the reality of these fighter jets. People take the features that are marketed of these fighter jets far too literally. I remember Indian's getting excited about the Rafale's marketing line of "it's an omni-role fighter". If Indian's really think Block 3 JF-17s and J-10CEs, backed up by their AEW&CS, can't defend against India's Rafale's and Sukhois, they have little knowledge on the reality of air to air defence and are far too consumed by their childish rivalry and hatred. Many countries defend VERY well with FAR less than "the best in the world". The SAAB Gripen is an amazing pound for pound king and it, itself is not the best fighter jet out there. But for the cost it's amazing and more than good enough for domestic defence. As are the latest variants of the JF-17 and J-10.
