I used to live in something like the bargain bin version of this in Wellington, NZ (old paper factory north of the stadium). It was an awesome spot, but the owner had done it all up in gaudy colours, destroying the natural industrial charm, unfortunately. I say all of that to say that outdoor spaces like the one off the loft seem awesome, but rarely get used in my experience. It’s too far from the kitchen to eat or have cocktails out there and it’s inconvenient to have to trapse through the guest bedroom/office/whatever for sunbathing or yoga or outside reading. I always found it more pleasant to do that kind of stuff in the park anyway. I still regret not figuring out what to do with that space because it seems like there should be an answer…
@kevinlessard50812 жыл бұрын
P.S. Love your videos… not really in the market myself but they are very well done and hopefully drumming up some business for you.

Your point about the outdoor space is true. But I have seen a kitchenette with sink, hot/cold water, a counter and rom for an espresso machine and a toaster oven and under counter bar fridge. It was installed just inside the door to the outside space that fixes the issue perfectly.

@Milofchg I also went to tons of Chicago raves from ‘93-97, however I barely remember the locations due to the wonderful acid & shrooms! I remember some party names & I still have a ton of flyers & about 60 mixtapes: Hyperactive, Derick Carter, Mystic Bill, Roy Davis Jr, Justin Long, DJ Tron, Paul Johnson, Boo Williams to name a few! What parties were at this building?
@Milofchg10 ай бұрын
@@user-wo7dl6tb2q Yes, LOL lots of (E) X, LSD, Shrooms back then. Great times for sure. At this location I remember a few parties, but they were not Rave parties. At this building they hosted more underground House afterhours events. Spencer Kinney, Darryl Woodson, Lego, Miles Maeda, Mark Farina, D Carter or some of the friends/staff from Gramophone Records. Once Shelter's last call we would end up here or places like this all the time. I do know Incredibeets used that as a backup for a raid once. There was another loft not far from there that was used for parties. That place was on Randolph and Green street behind a teen club called Alcatrazz. Fast Eddie's friend leased that loft for parties.

Yeah, as the guy and you said, it's more of a party people space, the first floor alone you could have a nice gathering, the catwalk thing it's great for saying something as the host. The second level you could remove the bed and have a big space for doing art or anything really. If you have kids or somebody will take the second bed upstairs there is 0 privacy, only in the main bedroom so that really tells you eveything there's to know.
