I remember a game the Blazers played against the Celtics, I think in 1978 during their 50 and 10 run where Walton totally dominated but only scoring three points and the Blazers won by 30+. The Blazers were a TEAM.

My favourite basketball announcer growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s .. Just positive dude. Never really had the privilege to watch him play, but he was great when he was healthy and could easily been among best bigs to ever play.

The only thing missing from this show is Bill Walton! Great stories! I saw Danny Ainge play in high school at North Eugene and then the state tournament in Portland. He is considered Oregon’s greatest athlete ever. I met Bill Walton a few years ago for the first time at Powells books in Portland. What a character! I showed him a photograph that I took in 1974 when he was coming out of the Portland locker room for the first time in memorial coliseum. I think Lenny Wilkens was in the back of the photograph. Lenny Wilkens was a great player and a coach. He’s right he put that championship team together and Jack Ramsay orchestrated the NBA title and a 50 and 10 season in 78 until Bill Walton‘s body broke down and the dream of a dynasty ended in Portland when he was traded to San Diego.

I enjoyed it all. I can't figure out which Grateful Dead song is playing when discussing going to the Celtics. Anyone? I've tried to figure it out, & apologize for this query placed here. Thanks.

It might be Neil Young? It's also playing in Part 1 (which I just saw, & saw last), when his wife Lori says "this is the Neil Young room". Instrumental, short, choppy elec guitar strumming. One of the only songs in all 4 parts that is repeated. Anyone?

Dwight Howard never leaned how to play basketball. It is too bad that Dwight didn't go to college. The other thing is that Dwight was not possessed to win. He also never developed an all around offensive game.

Walton was so athletic and a force. Compare his athleticism to Jokic. Bill was an incredible force on defense. Jokic is g horrible on defense. Great on offense. There is also a video on the series were he dribbles full court. He could really dribble.
