This is an amazing Property but I genuinely would like to ask whether there are any issues post Brexit with a UK winner owning this property in as it's in EU for example if they wanted to live there, rent it or even sell it? I usually buy tickets for these Omaze draws because it's for charity and you never know may actually win but for this draw I'm not sure.

I've looked into it a little and if you don't apply for Permanent Residency, a Brit can spend 3 months in the EU member states but longer stays will require applying for a visa. Renting would be easy - just go through a rental company that deals in up-market properties on the Costa Del Sol which take a fee to find clients and manage it. Selling would probably require tax being paid in both countries, i.e., Spain and the UK but you'd still be 'quids (£) in' if you won it! Hope that helps :-)

Hi Maduka. Take a look at the blog post on Omaze which talks about the property. Spain has something called a Golden Visa which the winner might qualify for. If I win I will take advantage if the paid tax advice offered to the winner and would apply for the golden visa open to people who invest in property in Spain.

Buying renting and living won't be a problem, sooo many Brits live work and are retired in Spain. But u can only spend 90 days out of 180 days on a tourist visa. Any longer u need a permanant residence visa or golden visa. Same as any country in the EU

Because it's Omaze-UK, registered in the UK, operating within UK gambling laws. Gambling laws vary per country, and I suspect omaze-uk don't want the lawyers bills for figuring out gambling laws in every other country around the world and who can/can't enter. Same reason there are prohibited countries that can't enter Omaze-USA draws.

I know Marbella and the Costa in general and in high summer it's noisy AF! I would use it as a winter holiday house (Vitamin D!) and let it out the rest of the year to avoid the noise! I always wonder if the properties Omaze buy to 'sell' on as a prize properties that didn't sell on the open market. I remember the Cotswold property had flooding issues and no mortgage company would touch it. I'd still be happy to win this one though!

@@HitchcockTheSnail Hi Skye, with regards to the Cotswolds House, in 2020 while Omaze was in possession of the home, a blockage of an adjacent culvert occurred that caused water to back up to the property - the issue was simply resolved. Since that time, Omaze conducted additional civil engineer inspections and reporting to confirm that the property was move-in ready, as advertised.
