It would be good to see the area off the atrium entrance to the right that, according to the floor plan, has a utility room, shower room and a further bedroom/living room. Omaze don't show it in their promo material and you don't show the space either. Intriguing...

The door to bedroom 4 is in the wrong corner too, and the ensuite. The main bedroom ensuite isn't the current internal layout either. But that's all Omaze's plan rather than LH. I'm intrigued what the big room to the right of the hallway/utility is used for too. Guess I'm just nosey!

@@PaulCooksStuff The first bedroom shown is Bed2 in the floormap, and it comes with an ensuite that is not in the map, so even better. In the selling photos before Omaze the part of the extension you are wondering about was used as a gym. Easy to use as a bedroom for people who cannot go upstairs, although there are some internal steps in both levels, so not for wheelchairs. It could also be separated as an annexe if updating the utility to a full kitchen and closing the access to the current hall. Turn the storage at the front to a hall, connect through the pantry, separate from the extension, voilà, a rental unit: large studio with kitchen, shower room and own access.

My idle thinking was it could be used as a gym, or home cinema, games room, office, a second self contained airbnb block (with ensuite + utility/kitchen as you said). The storage rooms might have potential for gym, office etc. The stable/shed might make a third airbnb block. It's a bit bizarre that neither Omaze or LH show any of those areas - it's all upside potential that adds to the allure imo. Omaze didn't include the cinema room in the Kent house floorplan either. I realise Omaze+LH probably both want glitzy stage-dressed tour vids, but as a ticket buyer I'd rather see it all and dream of the possibilities (at least for the few weeks before I don't win, lol)

Going out on a limb here, it's a beautifully put together property, but I suspect: no TV reception, no mobile reception, poor or no internet, oil-based heating, and a septic tank system. Probably no possibility of solar or wind power because of local building restrictions. At least there should be plenty of scope to put in a ground source heat pump if there isn't already one.

@@johnduffy7380 Altitude and climate in that part of the Lake District mean that I think you would struggle to do this given the location. Personally, my priority would be to try to do something to reduce the costs of the oil heating, heat pumps with solar/wind power. Possibly also get some goats or sheep to help maintain the grass, it looks like there is enough space for a shelter for them and there is already enough storage for additional animal feed.

In the photos for the annexe there is a modern tv, and there were plenty of tellies in the sale listings, so I guess wi-fi ready. Mobile reception varies depending exactly of where you are, as usual. Omaze's decorators don't seem to like TV's! 🤣

I love this house, absolutely superb ‘but’ why is there no chest or closest storage or room for it in the main bedroom? The walk in dressing room to this bedroom then has a radiator on each wall so again no room for closets. A gorgeous top job 2.5 million £ home but no main bedroom clothes storage…strange??🤷

Hmmm, if I paste a lat/long KZbin autodeletes lol. Slightly north east of postcode LA8 8LP. Middle left of LA8 8LR. Or half way between Winster and Crook, as the crow flies. South east of Mitchelland. Look for two forks in a road pointing west, in the middle of a green sea. It's the lower fork. Edit: or just search for Birk Moss House!!

Nearest town is Bowness about 7 miles away, doctors in Staveley. It's not quite as remote as it looks, although for the UK it is secluded. There is a working farm on the cliff above and another dwelling just to the left of the entrance gate.

The house is beautiful but i would have thought omaze would have tided up outside the property and got rid of all the ugly ivy hanging off the widow sills and walls of the property the first thing I would do is get a a gardener to remove all the crap around the buildings some of the roofing needs attention also. They gave the marabella winners 250,000 cash when it was a new bulding yet this one is old and would need lots done on the outside.
