One thing I just never get with nice houses is, what's with all the vines? Especially on Brick sections of the house.

Never seen English castles and stately homes? French chateau's or German schlöss? Vines grow naturally on those...whereas the yank's import and copy them to look like the "Home Country" or a state of serious affluency!
