Hi Anna. Thank you for showing us your cute place. As for your kitchen cabinets, you can probably buy a roll of plastic film and easily apply them on the clear glass by spraying a light layer of water and squeegee them on. I've also used a spray form as well. Both of them easy to remove when you're moving out.

Her apartment is a reasonable price for Korea I guess even though I don't leave in her country. It is super cute space. She has used the space she has very well. All the natural light she has coming in is a plus and it makes it comfortable and not depressing for her. 😊

Korean apartments are extremely cozy to me. I have traveled there with my wife and kids the last couple years and we rented an air b&b instead of a hotel. Some are better than others, but it has been mostly a positive experience. Staying in the apartments make you realize how much we live in excess! Especially here in the states. We stayed in Gangnam...which was convenient to the subway station.

The Jeonse system is basically paying for most of a house, and taking the risk that the landlord won't default or be unable to return your deposit (for any reason), at the benefit of not paying rent... Yeah, I wouldn't risk it.

I'd like to know in what part of Seoul she lives, because this apartment doesn't look like it cost $700 in today's money. It's too big, the window view is too wide, and she has separate rooms. it's called Jeonse. Basically you pay a deposit of 50% - 80% of the house's value, and yes, you get it all back (so rent free). However, you run the risk of the landlord being unable to pay you back because of bankruptcy or other reason.
