Somewhere in the process the designer stopped desiging an apartment (flat) for people to live in and started working on space where six people can spend time and everyone has a room to crash. I am a minimalist, but this place has no fucking soul. The "balcony" looks like an air bridge at an airport or a covered walkway in a new hospital wing.
@SamOwenI3 жыл бұрын
The reality is, if you have the money to spend on an apartment like this, you will likely replace much of the furniture and decorations to match your tastes. So you can understand the decision to keep things bare. Ultimately, the buyer will be paying for the location and the potential it has.

I lived in this development for 4 years, 2017 to 2021. I was amongst the first people to move in when it started opening up. Two weeks ago my wife and I moved out of the area as it started to feel very overcrowded with people who do not even live there. It turned out to be like Ibiza. Full of drunk people on the stairs of the estate due to the restaurants and pubs surrounding the estate. The whole thing has complety gone down. It's overpriced for such a hotel vibe. It does not feel like a home anymore. I'd never ever buy a flat there. Once the power station will open and the underground, it's going to be worse than Canary Wharf. This penthouse is nothing special, all the flats are literally identical to one another. My 2 bed flat looks exactly like this 6 bed. Anyways, we now moved to Kensington and we absolutely love it. Now that we live here, we keep asking ourselves WTF did we think of wasting 4 years at Battersea Hotel estates because we cannot call it anything else. It's exactly a massive hotel. We love you show by the way. My wife and I are loving some of the homes you are showing us. Xx

Well executed interiors. I like the wood lined bathrooms. But seriously, £10M for a leasehold apartment? Madness! Owners of freeholds are now building upto two additional floors using permitted development rights on top floors of apartment blocks in London. Your expensive penthouse may no longer be the penthouse a couple of years later. Never buy leasehold if you can buy a freehold house with garden - and £10m will buy you a fantastic one in Chelsea, Mayfair or many other premium London areas.

Obviously elegant and classy, many good design elements, the price is a touch heinous, no doubt a side effect of the nearby Themes. Unless brits are opposed to open plan I would definitely have combined kitchen and living room to one, even extended it a bit further to have grandeur to justify the tag. More glass in the bedroom as well, it's curiously walled in. Privacy can easily be adaptive at this price point. The rooms are laid out a little bit like a hotel which is strange for kid use. Maybe the developer figured it would be high end air bnb? just seems like a high stakes gamble. Rather than stepped ceilings, if at all possible I would raise the ceilings as much as possible and use larger glass segments. It's profound that the price here is close to 10 times higher than it would be for just the construction. 300m2 for 940k£. PS. I recommend 30fps over 25. It makes a significant difference for pans to better match the eye's ~36fps. If you only shoot HD you could even go 50Hz, that would be nice and smooth. or 4k 30Hz. 4k is nice.
