I lived just up the road from the power station when it was still working, in the late 50s and 60s, it dominated the whole area. i went with my wife a few weeks ago and was, i must admit, very emotional when i walked in. it would have been a terrible shame if it were to have been demolished, it is the biggest brick built building in Europe, what they have done to the place is amazing.

Great shot Hannah of capturing Rod through the hanger of the dress you were holding! Guess he couldn’t find the perfect outfit to wear to the 2024 Met Gala so he’s shopping early for the 2025 affair. Perhaps his wife was on patrol last night protecting the streets of London? I had read she studied , took the test and became a policewoman 👮🏼and loves it! She served on the streets for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral AND King Charles Coronation!! What a great video you shared with us! Love the flowers you purchased, Cheers! 💕🇺🇸

Love it! Rod Stewart, no entourage, browsing the rails, whistling to himself (was it one of his hits, I wonder?), too cool! He's always a snappy dresser and I'm surprised he shops for himself. The mall has too much of the industrial power station-feel for my liking, but it's a nice re-purposing of the plant, and it's HUGE! Can't believe a whole bar of just champagne (my kind of watering hole). Your new camera's doing well and your battery didn't die. You're a shopping marathoner (I'm an arm chair, on-line shopper myself). Thanks, Hannah.

Cheers Hannah, it’s Sean in Atlanta! Your new jacket looks so good on you! Tea cozy… I almost choked on my tea! The Battersea Power Station is such an amazing place! I remember your video when it first opened, but I didn’t remember how “industrial” it was! I get what you’re saying about cross shopping. They should have designed that a bit more customer friendly. Oh well, but I understand you. How absolutely smashing ( my best English) to run into Sir Rod! He certainly didn’t stand out in the crowd, haha! I never tried Nando’s when I was in London last. I seem to remember a Nando’s near Klink Street, or near the Golden Hind. Now I’m glad I didn’t! I think London has the very best architecture of any city in the world! The Power Station certainly lives up to that ideal! You are a lucky girl to live in London! Thanks Hannah. Another excellent video on an area I have never seen, yet. Ta! Sean

So lovely to see you again Hannah! I will not lie. I'm absolutely enjoying every moment of your company these additional Tuesday uploads. Our reigning maven of the London mooch. You are looking wonderful in your new jacket! The cut is perfect on you. It's fascinating to revisit and have a mooch 'round the iconic engineering marvel that is the former Battersea power station. It's a worldwide icon, pictured on one of the Pink Floyd albums, back in the day, when vinyl was the thing. This mall would be a great place to get some steps in when it's absolutely chucking it down! I hope the weather has warmed for you Hannah! I love that you go to all the shops I love to look in too. And I agree with you about customer service, I’ve worked in retail for over 20 years (10 years of that at John Lewis) and I do really appreciate when staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Another fun video. It was very nice seeing this place but I agree with you about shopping in there. Here in the US malls have been closing for years. I always preferred a downtown shopping . Malls are so dark and expensive and I always wondered how people could stand working in them all day. Love your flowers really beautiful. I use to work in a florist shop for a few years and always brought home flowers and still do just love them. I also agree with you about clothing . I can never really find what I would like to wear. Lovely vlog Hannah! I wish I knew of the Battersea development when I was last in London. I believe it had just opened then. The sheer volume of the space while spectacular leaves very wide walkways in front of the retailers. Nando’s Chicken is alright but I like their dessert Portuguese egg tarts. Have you ever looked into a Muji store? There’s one in Covent Gardens and Oxford. Interesting how we always gravitate toward clothing items familiar to what we might already have. Maybe try some different ethnic culture inspired colour batik dyed prints and textured pieces of clothing or accessories.
