I can't say that this is every young wrestlers dream, to be practicing in a D1 room. But I can say 100% this is what gets me up every morning at 6 o'clock. I want my shot at D1 one day.

@@HitSquadwrestlingI like to wake up around 3 AM for a good run and write my goal(I write it once a day). Remember, though, like what Ben Askren said, sleep is the biggest thing a wrestler doesn’t get, but needs.

Bro you better start getting up 2 hours earlier, get on that mat early and start drilling, then once you’re exhausted go to wrestling practice. I’d have went D1 if I actually would have had good mentorship and guidance!! Don’t waste your time brother, I have full confidence you can make it happen!!

The athleticism is scary. There’s a reason why not many people continue this after college the body just can’t keep up
@ronaldallen8925
@ronaldallen8925 10 ай бұрын
that is partially true, the main reason is there is absolutely no money in it
@Jordanthecool7

@@ronaldallen8925idk, I’d say the main reason is because most people don’t like or even understand wrestling unless they wrestle or grapple themselves ( which is why it don’t get much views most the time ). Their are other combat sports like boxing and mma which is also very tough on the body, yet has much more money in it than wrestling.

@@Jordanthecool7 yea but the problem with sports like that is the brain injuries unlike in grappling you might be physically good for it but not want to get hit in the head for a living

Of Note: Takedown Drills are complete with finishes as well as deliberate takedown to score wrestling. Too many programs are drilling without finishes. Then in competition takedowns are not completed because they drilled that way. Not only are finishes not drilled but muscle memory is developed to then stop in competition.

Coleman Scott is going to take over John Smith once he retires. He made UNC a respectable program. Imagine what he’ll do with better recruits and a bigger program. Oh did I mention he is an OK St alumni and won several NCAA titles

I honestly find it nice to see guys grinding, but, i THINK, some of the stuff they do, some of the grind, obviously, who am i? right? just a nobody, isnt really that smart. Why work harder when you could work smarter? + Does anyone consider longevity and the health of anny of those athletes there?

@@SNEED_FEED well, look to be very specific, FOR EXAMPLE. The pushups at the end, why are they doing them? why make them do those stupid ass, useless push ups at the end, just to make them extra tired? put some extra strain in their bodies? why? does that shit even make them better athletes? or is just "u GoTTa GrInD BrO". Instead of sparing them the stupid push ups, and letting them recover their triceps shoulders chest core etc, and maybe because they had more recovery they would actually end up performing better, THAT is muy point, i hope you can understand what im saying, if you cant, then i am sorry i cant explain it further than that, besides --> "Stimulate dont annihilate" (training HARDER doesnt really mean getting better/ending up with a better performance. )Training harder and smarter will probably get you where you wanna go. Doesnt mean they shouldnt train hard, obviously that is a D1 room, it is going to be an intense workout, i just wonder how much is too much. If you understand annything of sports then you have to be able to understand what im saying, otherwise ur just ignorant af.
