As a Jiu-Jitsu guy, one of my regrets is I never got to wrestle seriously. I have tremendous respect for the sport and I just love this vid. The athleticism, the hard training, the explosions, the technique, the coaching about taking a moment to reset mentally. Beautifull.

I miss D1 wrestling. Grinding it out with great teammates, learning together, working off 6-8 pounds of sweat, and having good coaches working you to that next level. It feels great walking out of a practice that you just knew made you a better wrestler at the end of the day.

Tommy G! Bro you have taken wrestling to the next level with your channel. I am trying to do the same. I have been wrestling for 5 years and doing youtube for about 6 months, maybe a little more. I have over 300 videos and closing in on 2k subscribers. I post all my matches, wins and losses. I post training videos and some clips from camps too. What I don't have is any interviews with other wrestling youtubers. Bro I am literally a hour and a half north of you. Any way I could do an interview with you for my channel? I know it wouldn't do anything huge for you, but it would be dope for me and my channel. I am 100% sure my parents would drive me down there. If you are busy I completely understand, just thought I would ask. Love the channel, keep doing great!

I went to the University of Michigan wrestling camp back in the summer of 1989 between my freshman and sophmore year of high school. There were hundreds of kids there. My record went from 6-10 as a freshman to 16-8 as a sophmore because of that camp. The head coach was all class. He gave me a ride to Ann Arbors' tiny airport for my parents to get me when camp ended. Looong time ago, but a great experience and great program

good coaching. good system. I almost care about that more than any specific sport. When you see a coach and staff that has the system, the stations, the drills, the stop watch, the segmentation, the gauntlet, when you see that kind of organization, you want people you care about to have that kind of experience and be a part of a program like that.

As a bjj fan and fluent practitioner I wish gyms like these allowed occasional walk ins so I can make up time for not sticking with this stuff in high school. Wrestling is a key piece of missed opportunity in bjj and I wish there were more clinics for it to the adult public outside of college degrees.

They could make a lot of money by opening this up to outsiders and at least providing a secondary class for people who aren't part of the college. Eventually someone's going to do it and make a ton of money off of it and then I'm sure every college is going to jump on it as well. It's just an obvious way to make more money and grow the sport and you don't have to have them interrupt the D1 class, just put everyone else in a separate class have them be coached by one of the freshmen or sophomore wrestlers who just need more practice. Easy money.
