I can think of a million people that would pay top dollar to live or even just vacation in mini personally sized disney castles for their next trip to europe or to rent for living. I just think they're weirdly isolated from everything, and obviously are clearly not very well constructed for some reason...maybe if the location was better and had more places of interest around it, and most of all, if they were vacation rentals rather than purchasable properties, they mightve been more successful (assuming the company had the money to make it the best it could be). @maximumeffort787 ай бұрын
One, true castle that has either been maintained and updated or entirely restored from its its grand, ever standing walls… that is architectural beauty. A modern castle held to the same standards is just as beautiful really, just some modern century style or older home when the same detail and integrity is met. The problem is, most people do not want to pay for these homes, but they want their home to look like suck. This leads to “brick detailing” being made of actual FOAM, exterior brick work being brick facade, the century homes only being detailed in the front, having plastic siding, and so much more. The homes have poor finishes inside, bad layouts, it’s usually a whole mess and they just aren’t made to last. That isn’t craftsmanship. That said, would you feel like you home was a castle, was something special, when you saw 750+ identical poorly made castles in your HOA? Not I. Kinda reminds me of the weird Disney community in Florida, but at least that Stepford Wives community is kinda cute. Family annihilator m*rder aside. I’m not saying all of this to be an a$$hole, I just really appreciate architecture. From early civilization to a building/home completed today, even things like bridges, I truly appreciate beautiful and intelligent concepts brought to life in architecture and structural design. 😊
@LilithNMorning3 жыл бұрын
Why tf did they build all of them at once.?! A smart idea would have been to build a street of them like maybe 6, see if people actually bought into the concept, and go from there.
@katcoe10793 жыл бұрын
Normally you would build one, then market the shit out of the idea and get people to pre purchase plots. It's also weird they are all so close together. Not for normal house standards but as they look like mini mansions you'd expect a decent space around each one. They are constructed the way theme park building facades are, all pretend using plastics and resins instead of stone.

Uhm actually concrete is a very strong building material. It can withstand a lot more load than wood, if we are talking about regular wood used for classic building structures. It's just that concrete is much more expensive per say in the US, rather then let's say in Turkey or for e.g. Balkan where it is massively produced. So, maybe if you are used to Wooden structures, concrete and brick might seem awkward to you haha 😅

His biggest mistake was building the exteriors all at once, before he sold the first one, completing it and moving the people in. What a waste of land, natural resources, time, energy, and the root of all evil, money.

Root of all evil is the love of money, but honestly the true root of all evil is Selfishness. Because the love of money comes from Selfishness. Always looking for more never satisfied all while destroying others in the process.

@@evanintihar7590 You cant have selfishness without greed. Greed is a base sin.

@@olliefoxx7165 and you can't have greed without Selfishness that's what causes greed you got backwards, this is why anything good anyone ever does is evil definition of evil is Selfishness that's what evil is even God doesn't glory in himself, God's glory is the underserved love towards us selflessly making us and selflessly taking our punishment. Unless you do anything in Jesus name you will always glory in yourself no matter what you can't be purely selfless unless you do it in Christ name. For instance if I donated to a cancer foundation, theyd say oh your so kind and good, and if I don't say it in Jesus name I would not be doing it selflessly I'd be doing it for my own ego rubbing of how good I am wanting all the admiration, its like those big celebrities who like to announce to everyone how much they donated then they aren't doing it out of the goodness of their heart they are doing it to get praise. Only Jesus Christ was selfless he loves his enemies even when they reject him to the grave, he gains nothing from what he does, try continually being kind and giving gifts to someone who ignores you, and runs your name through the dirt or even attacks you, yeah you'd probably stop being kind to them, "But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same." Luke 6:32-33 the true treasure of your existence is your heart, and that's not some mushy gushy statement that's the TRUTH. Everything is vanity all is pointless relationship and love is the true treasure. "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Matthew 6:21 "I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit." Ecclesiastes 1:14 and this coming from King Solomon one of the wealthiest to ever live and he understands how pointless worthless everything is. Materialism will get you nowhere destroy others and leave you unhappy in the wake of it.

@@evanintihar7590 You and I agree on the motives and a Christian's outlook on greed,selfishness and giving to others. We are merely quibbling on semantics. What causes selfishness? Thinking of ones own needs to tbe detriment of others. One can be selfish while not going out of way to please the self. Greed is the desire to enrich ones self at any cost. Greed will cause people to do heinous things while selfishness doesnt necessarily come at others expense. Sometimes selfishness is necessary. If you only have $6 and a homeless man asks you for money it's ok to keep that money for yourself. Greed is taking whatever that homeless man has for yourself.

@@olliefoxx7165 ok well how about this let's say one person (you) is saved in Christ. And another is unsaved. You both are starving and there is one bag of food and you can't share it or you both die. Who gets it? I get your point it makes complete sense about the 6 dollars as long as you are saved and willing to give up everything if it means saving the other person
