I watch a bazillion home tours for inspiration as to how to decorate my 930 sq ft 2 bedroom house. This apartment is one of the best decorated I’ve seen. While there are a lot of wall hangings and books, nothing seems crowded and overwhelming. Take the plants, for example. That touch of greenery is a so nice. Other apartments look like an Amazon rainforest. As a native Detroiter, I especially love the nod to my hometown.

I thought so long and hard about this! And I’m so glad I went with the horizontal, because it doesn’t consume up as much space - especially when I have to navigate around furniture in the night to go to bathroom 😂😂

I live in a 375 sq ft apartment, and also love clothes :D - I put my non-seasonal clothes tightly rolled in drawers underneath my bed - for my seasonal clothes/bulk of them I installed multiple clothing rods on each side of the tiny hallway leading into my tiny bathroom (some tension rods, some screwed in) to DIY a sort-of-technically walk-in closet haha + set 2 cubby hole organizers horizontal and flush to each wall). My shoes are on thin roll-able shoe racks that I placed in front of my cubbies, so I can just push it aside when I need something). To make it prettier I added framed art on the walls and more tension rods near the ceiling to hang pink cherry blossom tree embroidered curtains so it looks more like a pretty dressing room). Seasonal items also go underneath my bed or hidden in multipurpose furniture (eg my storage ottoman holds most of my Halloween decorations coiled like a snake) - personally that holds all of my stuff, but I've seen people also store things underneath their couch with zipper pouches they can pull out

This is beautiful. A very creative design. However, I do not consider a 500 sq ft studio " tiny". It's spacious. I had a Murphy bed in a 297 1/2 sq ft studio, for 7 years, and absolutely loved it. Can't wait to see more on your channel. It's always inspiring!

I can't look at bare walls either. I used to have a lot of wall art, and oh my...it is difficult to work out the "puzzle," but it has to be done. About 10 years ago, I bought a 100 year old Craftsman house, with original stained glass windows. The house came with its own art! I had to rethink my standard way of deciding what wall art to put up because I couldn't let my wall art take away from the lovely and unique "Tiffany-esque" stained glass windows. I kept all my beloved wall art...because I might not always live in this lovely little house. But, right now, I'm enjoying it SO much! I'm glad to see you're enjoying your home, too. It gives me joy to see you happy in your home...it"s like there's something contagious here!😊
