Never understood why ppl move to NY, the cost of living there is dumb. 16 million? you can buy a damn mansion in FL somewhere for that, or even better multiple small family homes that you could rent out or use air bnbs. No townhouse is worth 16mil

as they saying goes, the ones that get it, get it. the ones that don't, dont". most ppl who really enjoy nyc would not enjoy florida unless it's miami. the weather is great down there but otherwise it's just blah to me. much prefer to visit than live there.

It's NYC. You'll see some 50+ million dollar town houses here with the exact same issue. If you want total privacy you need a penthouse high up in the sky but then you'll have other drawbacks (swaying, windy outdoors if the have terraces at all). But once you cross the 75 million dollar mark you'll get privacy and views without being too high up in the sky that's where you get the price point where the real trophies in NYC are at (e.g. Bezos penthouse, Ackmans penthouse, etc.).

The renovation is certainly clean and $$$ but it's an aesthetic tragedy. This building could have been RESTORED to an unbelievably beautiful gem, given the obvious high budget they had. At least they kept the nice traditional classic front facade (they were probably mandated by the city to do so, otherwise they likely would have desecrated it too).

They weren’t. That was explained and explained and explained and explained. Monica illegally took over her grandmothers RENT CONTROLLED apartment. They probably paid 75$ a month. Max. That happens a lot here. And chandler was in finance.
