@@benbewa I am a Tutsi Rwandan born in France, and my wife is Somali born in Sweden, my great-great-grandfather was a BaHima from Uganda, same clan as the current Leadership of the country Somalia has faced many problems since the fall of Siad Barre in 1991, but before that, it was actually one of the most developed and functional states in modern African history. Just look back at Somalia in the 1970s and 1980s. And like Rwanda, which after 1994 was more devastated than Somalia has ever been, it is always possible to rise again like a phoenix. Our Ethiopian Oromo and Habesha brothers, despite never being colonized and not carrying the inferiority complex found in much of Africa, still have many inter-tribal issues. But to call non-Bantus free riders is a stretch. The Habesha and Somalis are among the wealthiest communities in all of Africa; they just have poor governments. Meanwhile, Bantus are used to living in a state of moderate agricultural and now slum poverty, and that has become their lifestyle which they are ok with. In contrast, the people who control Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi are not Bantus.

Tutsi here. "Southern Cushites" is a more appropriate and accurate description.Lnguage shifted Southern Cushites Himas Tutsis and Ganwas, Banyamylenge, and Hema, which indeed share a significant amount of ancient admixture with the Oromos, Somalis, Sidamas, as well as the Datooga, Maasai, El-Molo, and other non-Bantus that contributed to the Savannah Pastoral Neolithic culture dominating East Africa prior to the larger Bantu agricultural expansion. Bantus are the relative newcomers in East Africa. However, we all live together, so we just have to make the best of it. (Correction: You all live together and need to make the best of it. I live in Paris, France)
