South Africa’s Sunninghill suburb has most of its streets and roads named after Kenyan towns and other places. The origins can be traced back to the mid-1900s, when the country was under colonial rule. Kenya and South Africa have since become strong trade partners and allies. Kenyans and South Africans are cousins. They seem to have that unexplained natural connection and both suffered white brutality and the whites loved both countries as settler colonies because of their beauty. The difference is that Kenya became freer and managed to shake off the whites much earlier than SA did.

Indeed. Black South Africans sound a bit like Luhyas in Kenya when they speak English. Some of our lingual similarities (Zulu/Swahili/Luhya)... Amapiano = mapiano, hamba = amba, nawe = nawe, wena = wewe, Indlovu = ndovu, inyama = inyama, imbuzi = imbusi, lakho - lako, yetu = yetu, ulimi = ulimi, umfundi = mfundi and many more!
