No playing very loud music after 10 pm, which non HOA home shouldn't do or may be put the headphones on, not having fence in front, which I am okay with because with front yard fence it feels like I am entering penitentiary and not home. All of the homes doing same thing in the area makes it looking pleasing to eyes. Safety in a gated community is very much in your head. I worked as a dispatcher at a sheriffs office and for 911 and I’ll tell you from personal experience that you are no more safe than anyone else. If someone wants what you have, they will get it and if they want to hurt you, they will. Criminals always find a way and they don’t care about the rules, or the old fart on gate duty. The domestic violence, boyfriends & girlfriends of divorcées and teenagers with too much money and not enough attention make gated communities their own little reality show. If you like it, then that’s awesome, but you are not more safe. I can tell you though that it makes it a LOT harder for the, police, fire department and ambulance to get to you when the codes aren’t updated with our agencies.

@@jdmccoy1999 Criminals like low hanging fruit too. It is going to keep out anyone but the locals. There is an order of magnitude more security with a gate guard than a codebox. Especially when you can buzz 10 houses and SOMEONE will let you in. That trick won't get you past the gate. Gate guard can also see if someone is REALLY carrying a pizza or food order. And can open the gate for a police car. I bet their security team is at least 40-50 people. If not significantly more. But even a codebox with a lot of cameras does a decent job of filtering. That is what my condo has. That one in NV looks to be mostly older folks though, a more upscale version of the Villages.

This argument can be used on you. Do you give to charity? Do you go without or with less so others can have it? The device you're using to watch this video, why not give it to someone else less fortunate? The place you live, let someone live there and go stay in a tent outside. Limit your food intake so the hungry can have more. You can criticize the rich but the same argument can be used on everyone. We can all technically live more frugal and give extra away. Unless you are seriously going without all luxuries (you have a device with Internet access so I doubt you are) I wouldn't be so quick to criticize. Its hypocritical.

In my early childhood I lived in a what would be considered 'nice safe area and environment' (my parents were working class and 'no way' 'rich'. - just to make that clear). In my later years ie teens I lived in what I would call a rough area, 'you know those areas, were people are proud to tell you "I was born and bred here". Completely the opposite environment to my childhood years. And it is this sole personal experience later in my early life that made an impression on me. Which was whatever was in my power, never to live or surround myself with individuals who did not have the 'normal' given social skill to interact correctly with people or respect the environment that they and others lived in. (we see it on street corners and down dark alleys to this day - dealing drugs, burglaries, wheeling and dealing and just anti-social behaviour- which is clearly choice). I do not live in a gated community, but I also see nothing wrong with them to a degree (but personally think a 'better area' would be a wiser choice over gated). People may describe it has 'gentrification or segregation of classes etc', but it is not. It is just 'choice'.(the same choice that a thief or anti-socially raised individual has made to continue living that same lifestyle and in that same area/environment rather than break away from it.. My early experiences made a massive impression on me, and I 'chose' not to live within that kind of environment that 'attracted' the same. So if individuals want to live in gated or security controlled areas, to make them feel safe or they just want to live in an environment that is kept clean and respected by like-minded people...what's wrong with that!???. The french guy in this video had his family property stolen and violated by scum that crept out of it's street nest hole. So whats his wrong doing by removing himself and his family from that. We all have choices, just like we 'all' know 'right from wrong' and 'good from bad'. This is not about those we call rich or wealthy , it's about putting yourself in an environment you feel comfortable in mentally...and there is nothing wrong with that.
