Thank you, that was a very well shot video, I have a used 605c that I will be running for the 1st time in a round baler. Good insight on how it works. Thank you again.

Loved the inside of baler view!! I havent seen that before! Shows how important filling both sides of baler really is!

Keep good pickup cam bearings on her, sharp blades on the twine cutters, greased well and she'll run for years and years. I have the 505L and can't see any reason to buy another baler.

Funny thing Vermeer invented the round baler and then let JD pass them up like they were standing still. I was a Vermeer dealer in the late 1980's and when they introduced the 504I baler with no means to raise the pick-up for transport; I knew they were going backwards. They said after extensive field testing there was no need to ever raise the pick-up. That concept lasted 1 year. The double twine arms back then were a total Joke. Built too lightweight and twine routing was pathetic as were the twine knives. I'm sure they have come a long ways since then but old memories are hard to forget.

The new Vermeer bales are awesome machines.

What's it like inside the chain guard? Full of hay and detritus like all the others or clean and well lubricated?

Did you have a video how to fix the tie bale system? Thank you
@farmingourway84934 жыл бұрын
no, we didn't get a video of that part. I believe he just adjusted some bolts to have the arms go pass center so they over lap the string and also replaced the cutting knives.

@@farmingourway8493 can I ask why you have the narrow belts twisted?
@farmingourway84934 жыл бұрын
@@wmcgough1 Vermeer does that so you can see inside a little. Doing cornstalks its so dusty and can't see anyways but doing grass you can watch the bale form and see what side needs more fed at first when starting a bale.
