My first time ever in London I went straight to Abbey Road studios and the gate was wide open. I was so excited, went inside, took a lot of pictures, and up the stairs to the reception. Then they told me I wasn't supposed to be there, but they were very kind and I honestly knew no better. Your video brought me good memories of that day. It's so awesome you have studied (and graduated!!) there!! Great channel!! 😎👍

I was 13 in 1965 and then moved from Brooklyn New York to London England. I lived on Rodney Ct in Maida Vale. I had no idea I was just a short walk to the Abbey Road Studios in St John's Wood. Soon after my family moved back to New York and that moment was gone. What an enjoyable video to watch.

I went to London and lived there (next to Chalk Farm Station) 3 months in Spring/Summer 1980 (while all the Beatles were alive)....Went to Abbey Road of course, spent at least 30 min outside...and no one was there. There were no tours or anything at that time. I saw just a few references to them written on the wall letting me know this was the studio! I often walked through Primrose Hill, only finding out years later that Paul often walked his dog there, and was also the place that inspired "Fool on the Hill".

@@agustinkafka25 Yes,..one morning Paul was on the hill overlooking Regents Park and London and talking with an Apple associate....a man seemed to just emerge behind them.....and a few seconds later, disappear,...with no sign of him anywhere....this spooked Paul,...and he later wrote the song while recalling this experience.

I was lucky enough to visit the studios for the lectures of Abbey Road album anniversary back in 2019, but could not study there, let alone play the instruments. Although I could get seven seconds to play one of the pianos before I was told it wasn't allowed ha ha (didn't know). Such a delight to know Paul McCartney had played. Thank you again!

Thanks, Agustin! I made it to London a couple of years ago, and will be heading back next year. Made it to Abbey Road and to Paul's house on Cavendish (also to Regent Sound, where the Stones cut their first single and to Trident Studios -- look that one up!). Also made it to Liverpool...toured both Paul's & John's boyhood homes and was allowed a couple of minutes by myself in each of their boyhood bedrooms. When you've been a fan for going on 60 years, that was some pretty heady stuff! Thanks for your insights into the inner workings of Abbey Road studios. Definitely interesting to a pop culture/recording/rock band nerd like me!

I was at Abbey Road in the winter of 2008. Man that was special. Prior to that, when I was a teen in New York, Id run down to the Dakota Building with my best friend most weekends. Never met John, but met Yoko and Sean. Around that same time, we found Paul's in-laws house(the Eastmans) in Scarsdale NY. Always blew my mind that the P.O.S that took John away from us met John twice in one day (Dec 8th) and had his lp autographed by John. Whatever happened to.that album?

@@agustinkafka25 Everytime Im in New York, I go to the Dakota and Central Park across the street. In the park is the Strawberry Fields memorial for John. Theres always folks there playing Beatles and John's music. Its a cool spot. Good luck with your music career. Peace Aloha.

@@agustinkafka25 the day I met Yoko was serendipitous. It was right after Strawberry Fields was opened in the mid 80's. My classmate and I were doing a video about it. Out of the blue, Yoko n Sean and some bodyguards walked past us . Yoko spoke to us briefly, but only off camera though. She was wearing a windbreaker with the words Milk n Honey John n Yoko on the back.☮️

I won a Beatles trivia contest and won a trip to London and liverpool. Anyway, to make a long story short, I ended up standing inside the booth of studio 2 (I could picture George Martin looking down at the studio) . I was all by myself. There was no one to stop me. My jaw fell open! I had my camera with me and I took a bunch of picutres that I'll treasure forever.

I visited Abbey Road Studio's, studio 2 in 1983. Best £3.00 I ever spent. Yes £3.00, NOT £300! About 10 year's ago I had the opportunity to go visit again, and the price was £245. I declined the offer.

Studio 2 was opened for a series of lectures a few weeks ago by the authors of Recording the Beatles. I was there! 8/12/23! They've been doing that for a few years now. Hopefully they'll do it again next year!

My favorite album Pretty. Odd. by Panic! at the Disco was partially recorded here. The standard parts were recorded in Las Vegas but the swooning Beatles-esque orchestral parts were recorded at Abbey Road studios and it sounds amazing.

Also they have a loooot of equipment, the best of the best. a massive microphone collection and gorgeous ssl and Neve consoles, and lots of outboard gear.
